Having spent an ages on Youtube trying to find out what the practical difference is between a FF and a crop sensor (other than size) you have explained to me it perfectly. Thanks!

I use a ASP-C sensor based mirrorless camera system currently. I just upgraded to one from a GoPro. It works for video. I mostly do video on these things anyways. I do photography also sometimes. Full Frame cameras are expensive and it's really just recommended for the professionals. I may invest in one sometime but I probably will stick to ASP-C sensors for now. I'll upgrade to one that does 4k videos later on from Sony. There's others though. Photos and Videos is mostly all about what angle you shoot the shots at and lighting.

This is the absolute best explanation and correlation between having a Crop Sensor versus a Full Frame Sensor. What this video has finally enabled me to decide is not to part ways with my NIKON D300 DX Sensor. Instead, I will go as planned with my purchase of the NIKON D750 (FX Format) for the purpose of doing portraits with total control of DOF…least of which...
My crop sensor will be used exclusively for the Landscape part of my photography…Even a caveman can follow your explanation.
Cheers To You Spyros! Excellent video….Please keep them coming!

This is simply just one of the best explanations that I have found regarding the topic.

This is my new go-to video to send people to as I see the question brought up. Well done, and thanks

Thank you! I use a "bridge camera' with small sensor but high zoom and 18 mp. Great camera, light weight, versatile, but would like full-frame option as well.

Excellent explanation sir, most of the youtubers are scared to do this comparison and telling the new bees sensor size doesn't matters. According to them the pic sharpness, lighting & colors depends on the person who takes it. Thanks again.

I am currently shooting with a 7D, but I bought lenses with the idea that I was going to get a full framed camera someday.  The 7D does some really nice work, but I want, (and I am not a pro, so it is want), the best detail that I can get in my wildlife photographs.  I have just bought a 5D Mark III and I am looking to learn how to use it,  Your video was very helpful.

Thank you so much for the short and sweet explanation that i can understand. I am not good at remembering tech specs so too much bla bla bla makes me skip the video. Thanks again!

Thanks for the super explanation. I use a Canon EOS Rebel T6 crop sensor camera and am debating if I want to upgrade my camera.

I have a Canon 5D lll and a 7D. love both. I will shot with main video with my 5D and do B roll with the 7D. Of course lens selection will always be an issue but I always plan shots ahead. Thanks for your explanation.

Have a canon D80 and M 50. Thinking about a full frame camera. Good info, thanks.

Spyros thank you for the response :) budget is between 2500-3500. Not sure if the efs lenses interchange (guessing not) but I've bought and sold many and only have the rebel xti kit lens and the budget 50mm 1.8 I stil have fun with.

I enjoy night shots and city skylines etc with a tripod so from your video .. Well I forget which of the two had the better night quality (will have to watch it again). I know both cameras will do everything I like and the extra pm is tempting because I do want to blow up some poster size shots when the man-cave (the garage) is complete .

Cheers

Preach it brother.

lol ... but seriously, this was a very informative video.  This hit all the points I've researched when I was on the crossroads about whether to get crop vs full.  I wish I saw this video earlier because it would've saved me plenty of time.  In any case, I'm getting the full frame camera (Sony Alpha a7).
