Nigel Topping, the UN's high-level climate champion, joins the New Statesman Enviornment and Sustainability editor Philippa Nuttall live from Cop26 in Glasgow to discuss the role of private buisness in combatting climate change.

Within this topic they explore the future of capitalism and climate change as well as whether Cop26 is, as described by Greta Thunberg, a “corporate greenwash festival”.

The role of the UN's high-level climate champion created under the Paris Agreement to help encourage businesses, cities and investors to reduce emissions and move towards net zero. Topping was appointed to the role in January 2020 by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, as host of Cop26.
