Flipper zero open the all of hotel doors

In this video, I opened the hotel door by first reading the lock's receiver, and then finding the master key, which, by the way, often remains the default one from the lock manufacturer's factory. #flipperzero #HackingMultitool #EthicalHacking #hacker

That's not how this works at all. That key clearly can't unlock the door and he copied a key that can. Ever wonder why they don't show multiple doors unlocking?

My daughter works for a major hotel brand in which I sometimes do IT work. You would have to have the master key to unlock all doors. You can gain access to your own room that you paid for.

Don't fall for this, I have a flipper and those have rolling codes that make it near impossible to just open any door like that. However it is possible, just not as easy as this makes it look.

"Unlock any door in any Hotel" Bulshit... it Depends on the protocol and even on the Encryption and even if there is an Rolling Key function behind it...

It only works if you have the original card that opens a particular door your trying to open. If you lose your card but remembered to scan it before hand then you can use the flipper to open it but if you try any other door it wont work

That’s an already saved card … 😅 that’s not hacking when you already have the key 😂

😅😂 Yeah right with out valid card that you scanned previously and saved NFC card's data such as UID, SAK, ATQA you can not open. I did not see you using any bruit force. I own it so this trick will only work on people who know nothing or very little about flipper zero.

If you can socially engineer your way upon a "GM" or "emergency" key card, you can copy it easily and then return it. How does that work? Picture it: you're a front desk employee at a hotel. A guy in a blue collar work uniform that has an HVAC company patch and a name embroidered on it walks into the front desk with a clipboard and a fake yet convincing work order and says "Hey there! I'm here to service all of the AC units on [big floor or area of the hotel]. One of you guys called a few days ago and said a few of them are not cooling effectively so I'll be here all day checking on those rooms' equipment and freon pressures and changing filters on the others. I'm new to this hotel, but all the other hotels and resorts that I contract for like [list a few local premium hotels] typically let me sign out a master key for the day and just let me know which rooms are occupied. I try to run around and service all of the occupied rooms right after check out if the guest is leaving today so that housekeeping can clean up and be ready for check in. Have any guests complained about specific rooms being too hot or cold? I'll be sure to check those for sure and hopefully I can at least get those guests to stop yelling at you guys up here about one thing. People can be quite little monsters, am I right? Jesus Christ. I like you guys though, you all seem like a chill crew over here. I like this place, it's nicer than [local premium hotel] in my opinion!"

You have no reason to doubt this guy. You're an hourly employee. If you say that you know nothing about this work order, the guy just flashes the fake work order at you and says they talked to [general manager] days ago about it and the company payment info is already on file with the HVAC company's billing dept. The guy got the GM's name by calling a few days ago asking who the GM was because he wanted to "talk to them about a fantastic employee who really made his day." See what I mean? As soon as you have a GM key that will open every door in the place that isn't deadbolted (an emergency key will open those), you can walk around the corner, copy it, test the flipper on an empty room, and then leave. You can come back later and use it as much as you want.

He clicked "emulate" if you pause right before the Pokémon come up. He didn't do any hacking. He just cloned a key. Probably used a friend's card to fake it.

With unleashed you can straight up bruteforce the rfid lock

Slip the cleaning lady $100 and she'll let you copy her card. It worked for me..

If you extended your stay, wouldn't it be easier to go to the front desk and ask them to update your card? If someone sees you using this contraption, chances are you will spend your extended vacation in jail.

I’m sure the Flipper Zero can read the lock frequency and guess the frequency that unlocks it but it might take a while. What buttons do you click to try and guess the frequency that unlocks it?

You left out the part about how the flipper just bruteforces the RFID passcode. If the flipper ran two cominations every second (much faster than it can actually run) it would take around 4 years or something to try all the combinations

I once analysed my own and the Cards of two friends that stayed with me in the same hotel. It was not that hard to gain the key to read all pages in the Card. After that I could compare their card dumps with mine. I could Idwntify the roomnumber and the validity (wich was just date and time in unix format). At this point I would've been able to "create" a Card for any room of the hotel.
TLDR: It is possible, but not as easy as shown in the Video.

The answer is, use every deadbolt, old fashioned lock and the heaviest door you can get at home. Internet can fail and your home security can fail...

😂 He clearly presses emulate on the flipper before holding it up to the reader meaning hes just got a copy of the key scanned and saved on the flipper. This would only work for the room you were staying in/single card you copied unless you got your hands on managements master card and were emulating that to open more than a single door...
