Did not work. My Iphone connected fine to my PC and one day after a iphone update, it never worked again. I've tried everything and I don't feel I should have to use third party software to get something that should be so simple to do if it was working before. Many years ago I could go into the c drive of my pc and open up the drive for the Iphone and get my photos from there but no more Apple deliberately wants you to use their products to connect to PC so they can make more money. They don't supply a cable a usb cable anymore that connects to PC. I bought a third party cable and it worked fine. This is Apple's doing and they are not gonna get one more penny from me!

Apple seems to make it extremely difficult to import photos to a windows pc. I did the same backup for my other Samsung galaxy phone and absolutely no issues, but with the Apple iPhone keep getting error after error. Disconnecting, reconnecting, resetting, everything then error again. iPhone sucks with windows pc’s. Really it does!!!!

I have found the problem, when you edit a video on iPhone, an editable or modification is created, for example, rotate the frame, that editable makes it appear that it modifies a new video (I have not tried it on edited images) but only a 100kb file is created and in Photo app it puts a capture of the real video and the edited file of that video, when you pass the photo and video to the PC is when photo app does something strange and decides not to export, MY SOLUTION, by allowing the iphone to give access to the PC wait about 2 minutes until it appears (I don't know why it takes to recognize) in Windows explorer and go through the photos folder, copy paste and so it will not give you any errors, that's how it worked for me, regards.
