Peace and Love

Welcome to my channel Lifting out of the Lows where I share and document my experience with mental health and depression. I hope from sharing these videos and my experiences I'm able to help people along their own journey and make it somewhat easier (if that's possible) as I talk about things such as:
* How to stop feeling depressed
* My experience with mental health
* How to stop feeling anxious
* How to improve your mental health
* My journey through life
* How to take action
* How to be happier in life

I haven't got it all figured out, far from it. We're all on a journey that one never stops learning from but by creating these videos my aim is to help people and start more of a conversation around mental health. If you like the videos like, share and all the rest as the louder the message I'm sure the more people will benefit

ROUTINE is a very important part of fighting adhd/cyclothymia and dysthymia

Fellow sufferer here, pharmacist by training, I really really can’t stress enough how important SLEEP is in managing this condition. Get at least 7 hours of sleep each night and guard this routine with all you have. Sleep is the best mood stabilizer out there. Also, be very careful with caffeine! Avoid it at all costs (including that in coke and other caffeinated beverages). It took me a long time to figure out what is preventing me from getting enough sleep. I believe people with mood disorders including cyclothemia are extra sensitive for the effects of caffeine.

I suffer from Cyclothymia. And, when I have a low mood, usually, I write with my left arm. I kind of feel more liberated. It feels as if the pressure dissipates. Perhaps, it makes my right hemisphere of the brain regulate or it distracts it from the mood swings. It's quite a challenge. I invite you to try it.

Everything you say is true. I’ve stumbled into all those changes in the last 4 years. Especially the alcohol. Such a coincidence seeing your video.

Doctor diagnosed me cyclothymia instead of bipolar 2. Unfortunately, I have almost no concrete information about cyclothymia in Korea(I'm Korean) since most of bipolar patients are type 1 or 2. Sadly, Korea Society for Affective disorders omitted cyclothymia from bipolar disorder type nor sorted to depression. It's tricky to deal with cyclothymia in here since psychiatrists don't have many experience about this and confuse how to manage this with drugs. I suffered from bipolar disorder for 7 years, first diagnosed me "bipolar disorder" having no idea what type was it, during middle of the period, I was doubting whether I was bipolar or not since I almost have no hypomania(my doctor was confused too), later after taking overdosing drugs and rehabilitating from those, I found out my symptom was cyclothymia.

Great video! I was diagnosed few months ago (after years of diagnosed anxiety disorder). Tbh for me are my hypomania symptoms more destructive than depression ones. Maybe Its because I’ve been working on my anxiety since I was 14. I do drink alcohol (mostly wine) just to calm me down to fall asleep, same with sugar. I dont know why, but when I am hypomanic I fall asleep after a cookie 🤷‍♀️. My Friends are the key for me. They watch me over and take care of me not going out (I tend to get in trouble and seek one night stands). My most important No no are dr*gs of Any kind. We*d destroyed me completely for a week. Major panic attacks, suic*dal thoughts for days. After that 4 days of hypomania… nothing I want to experience again. Good luck on your journey and stay ok 💪

Hi, do you have more tips to help manage bipolar cyclothymia since last year ? I will start just by stoping eating sugar, I got diagnosticated with bipolar cyclothymia 1 year ago and since then I cannot find like a way of not having this episodes where I just can't handle it, I realize alcohol was a big problem, after I drink tequila for example I felt like so down the next two days. So if u have more tips I would love to hear it! Thank you

That’s so weird I’m crazy about not eating sugar maybe that’s a thing with cyclothymia, maybe it’s cause I can’t sleep and it makes me groggy

im sure i have this, and i figured out that coffee is too very bad for me, it sends me into high state every time, even more than alcohol or sugar, so i stay away from it
