Two hours before its scheduled liftoff, Boeing's Starliner capsule was forced to stand down from its attempted launch to the International Space Station Monday night. A last-minute issue with a valve on the spacecraft's rocket is to blame and NASA says it will attempt to launch the capsule again on Friday at the earliest. CBS News space consultant Bill Harwood has more.

Why are you blaming BOEING for a problem on a ULA rocket. It is not "What is BOEING going to do" it is what is ULA going to do.

No backup valve? Would help considering they fail often.

NASA quoting crew safety is hilarious. Boeing are simply praying they remembered all the bolts.

United Launch Alliance is partly owned by Boeing.

To allow for the valve replacement work, the NASA-Boeing team is now targeting NET May 17 for the next launch opportunity. -Boeing Space.

Some of the comments on here are quite bizarre, it is a test flight after all!

The astronauts should act like they are in the hood if anything goes wrong. I did not see anything I don’t know anything 😂 you don’t want to end like the two whistle blowers 😂

Wouldn't ever trust Boeing to build a Space capsule. Or a Rocket Section.

Elon Musk's SpaceX came to the game much later than Boeing but it has beaten Boeing hand-down. Boeing has become stagnate and could not shoot straight. Why does NASA keep wasting tax payer's money on Boeing? NASA should have dumped it long time ago.

ULA was a merger of heritage Lockheed Martin and Boeing. ULA is it's own corporate entity now.
