Apps don’t work if iPhones are not connected via USB. If I connect the USB, the apps option goes away/greyed out. What do I need to do?

Mobile apps/App Link feature on the system is useless. You can only get your phone apps on Android Auto or Car Play. Why have a feature on a system if it doesn't exist?

I have a 2017 explorer limited with sync 3. The only app it see's is Pandora. I am trying to connect Waze which is on my iphone XR. I have disconnected the iphone cable, reconnected. still a no go. I have cut off the iphone and turned back on only Pandora. When i say find new apps no go!

Sincerely I have always found mobile apps useless on sync 3 in my EcoSport. I find Apple CarPlay far superior.

All these videos are bull 💩!! I have a 2019 escape and could link my android for calls and text, but NO apps on phone would appear on car navigation screen, kept saying " no apps found ".😡

Sync 3 is a pile of shit... I have a ford puma ST line 2024 model and app link has literally no apps. My GF has a 2023 Peugeot 2008 and she gets android auto wirelessly! Having to use a USB cable every time I want android auto and no apps in app link is proof that ford are a crap

I font even get this far. Doesn't find apps Ford Ecosport 2019 so no navigation, no other apps just the radio and phone contacts. Its real disappointing. As it doesn't have a cd player. The more fking technology and the less it fckng works...
