Welcome back to the 2nd video of my DIY Bathroom Makeover Series! In this video, I am sharing a Rustoleum Countertop Transformation! I will show you how I transformed the bathroom countertop using the Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy Spray! For $7 this was an AMAZING transformation! Don't forget to hit SUBSCRIBE to follow along the $100 DIY Bathroom Makeover series. We're just getting started! I will share the steps below and include some tips and tricks I learned along the way. Don't miss this countertop makeover, it's amazing what a $7 can of Epoxy Spray can do!

1.Clean countertops with a surface cleaner and a towel. (I used Mrs. Meyers)

2. Sand the countertop lightly. I used a 100 grit sandpaper.

3.Using a damp cloth wipe off dust. Then go over again with a microfiber towel to remove any dust or particles left behind. I did this twice just to be sure everything was cleaned off!

4. Turn on any vents / a house fan/ and open windows! This spray is strong! I HIGHLY recommend using a mask while spraying!

5.Mask off walls/cabinet/toilet/faucet etc. The overspray is thick! I cannot recommend green FROGTAPE enough! It's a great product!

6. Spray 1st coat, if puddles or drips happen just wipe off quickly with a clean cloth and respray. Let first coat dry for 15 minutes.

7. Spray 2nd coat. Allow to dry for 3-4 hours. I removed masking tape/plastic after 3.

8. Enjoy your new countertops! I clean mine regularly with surface cleaner and I have had no problems with peeling or anything at all!

Rustoleum - the best invention for making old or ugly things - metal, glass, plastic, or anything at all - new again for pennies! Your counter looks great!

A little tip for using any spray can. Take a long wire tie and wrap it around the can. Look at the instructions on the can. If it says keep a twelve to fourteen inch distance from the surface, then trim the wire tie to twelve inches. One of the Biggest mistakes, with using spray cans, is getting too close to the surface.

Well done!
I did my hideous blue and yellowed '70's countertop exactly three years ago. Holding up beautifully!

Worked great for me! I recommend sanding the heck out of your countertops. I literally removed any part that shined lol. I also used 1 full can for the base, and another full can for the second coat, letting it dry about 30 minutes in between. Thanks for the video! I absolutely love my new countertop!

I tried it and it worked exactly like the video. Friendly reminder to wear a mask because the fumes are strong and cover ANYTHING nearby that you don't want painted. I'm doing my old kitchen counter tops next. Thank you for the video!

Great job! Tip: I've used contact paper to mask large sections of mirror when I'm spray painting. It works well.

This turned out beautifully. I’m currently planning a bathroom renovation on a budget. This is exactly that I’m going to do. Thank you for the idea.

Should've wiped it off with cheesecloth and acetone to wipe the counter down as a final wipe, after you do a first basic clean. Acetone will remove the oils and build up and cheesecloth will not leave lint and the acetone won't dry on the cheesecloth as fast as a microfiber or other towel. That's my 2 cents of advice.

Hi! I had no idea you could refinish the old 1970s marble bathroom top! I thought I was going to be stuck with ours! I am so excited for our bathroom redo now thank-you!

get some olive oil and spray the mirror, before spraying, that helps with the spray on mirror, the spray won't stick to the mirror with a little oil on the mirror

Hello everyone who is thinking of trying this! I did today, and probably the most important thing I learned is that you NEED to cover your entire body, eyes, and hair if you don't want epoxy in those places. Long sleeves, pants, shoes, gloves, mask and ANYTHING to keep your eyes protected. Idk how she didn't get epoxy in her eyes; the spray-back was horrific. My husband and I used this spray on our guest bathroom counter, with proper ventilation, and the entire house was full of fumes for hours. Everything upstairs that wasn't completely closed off was covered in a thin layer of the epoxy, as well as the entire bathroom. If you don't want a disgustingly sticky residue everywhere, cover it. We covered our bathroom more than this and everything else is still gross. Rust-Oleum has a paintable version of this product and I highly recommend using that instead. Props to her for making this somehow work, but I have no idea how this product is considered safe. The can doesn't even tell you to wear protective gear.

Thank you! I followed your video, and while our Lowes didnt offer Rustolium, they had the Krylon Appliance Epoxy. We went from a brown/cream marble to clean white. You were right about the vapor. I had to run in and out of the bathroom holding my breath and spraying and i wore a mask. But it didnt take long. Sooo glad I found your video. 🥰

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH 4 SHARING...U R SOOOO RIGHT! I had a washer and dryer both in mint condition, however the dryer got rust and a boat load of scratches on it...made the unit look older than it really was. Went to Home Depot, they suggested the WHITE Appliance can of spray. I was hesitant at first BUT GOOD GOLLY MS MOLLY 1 spray made it look BRANDNEW! Gonna try it on my bathroom counter top...THANK U!

Was in the process of a bathroom renovation and originally thought I could live with the old countertop which is exactly like yours. Going to give this a try with the brush/roll-on version. Thanks!

I used this spray to cover some rust spots on my frig, and also to make an old medicine cabinet look new. Will definitely try it on the counter top in my laundry room. Thanks

Thank you so much. I needed this video. I ordered the spray and my counter and sink turned out beautiful. Mine was an old outdated 70s 80s mustard yellow faux marble eyesore. Im especially thankful for your updated video.
