The Schon family downsized into a self-built Tiny House on wheels with 3 bedrooms and a catio! The kids' rooms are super fun, with themes, murals, and fun ways to climb into the space. They currently live in a Tiny House Village, where they pay $600 a month for parking and utilities. Their house cost only $45,000 (estimated) to build.

I love the fact that the children and the cats have their own space. It's very much a family home....I love it. Thank you, Jenna

This tiny house is amazing so family friendly. The fact that the kids each have their own room and it’s customized is amazing 💛

I love your channel and I love this home. I have not seen a family to allow their kids so much space and the things that are important to them..So many people make the spaces for their kids an afterthought which does more harm than they know. A bunk bed with a small bin for their things is just not enough. These parents made their kids and the kids wants as well as their needs an absolute priority. From Front to back, inside and outside you can see that a FAMILY lives in this perfectly made for them Tiny Home that is HUGE with Love. They even have a backyard and living in a community like they do just provides the social and emotional well-being for the whole family and this family is like a role model for prioritizing and stability. These parents are to be commended and they should teach other families wanting to go tiny just how to have it all. Well done.

How awesome and refreshing that it’s a realistic lived in tiny house/home. Not that vacant cold only what you need to barely get by, but LIVED in. Real life clutter, kids, pets, cozy, homey feel. Good job!!

Dear beautiful family, I am sorry there are some very negative comments here. Try not to take them to heart. After all, it's the internet and you know how people can be 🤪 It is so much easier for people to pick apart people/things from behind the screen instead of looking at what needs fixing in their own life. You all did a great job! You have a lovely home and family💞

If they want, they can get a pocket door for the bathroom. Pocket doors will definitely saves space.

In my opinion, $600 that they are paying is nothing compared to apartment rents that have gone way up in 2022 along with home mortgages. Apartments rents start at $1, 200 and go way up especially if it's a good location. Light bills along with food went up too this year, 2022.

Nice family and the kids look happy. Thank you Jenna!! Love your videos ❤️

Overall, it's really nice. The kids rooms are a good size, and I like that the master bedroom has standing room. My only concern is the lack of privacy in the kids' rooms, especially as they grow older.

WHOA NELLY! Lots of negative Nellie's and people who are just flat out rude. To them I say they didn't build to suit your needs or style. They built to create a home for their family. I think they did a wonderful job and clearly they are healthy and happy! The kids have space to run off their energy. I'm happy for them!🙂💕

When they upgrade, and they will as the kids age, this will be a masterpiece they have 0 problems selling! One of the best I have ever seen!

All I can say is what awesome parents! To provide an enriched environment for the children as well as cozy togetherness. A very bonded family.

I love the kids bedrooms. They’re so cozy and I love the fact they can look through the netting straight across and see each other.

I love the design and the fact that there actually was stuff in the house unlike people who are saying it’s “cluttered”. This is a real family with real stuff. They obviously did not want to get rid of or downsize anything they had before (with the exception of a few items). I absolutely love it! Both the design, the outside of the house and the inside. The only thing I would change personally if I lived here would be the shower (but I love the idea of the one this family has because of its originality). Thanks for sharing !

Nice touch with the murals and decoupage for the kids.
Astronomy is a valuable subject for homeschooling and fun for the whole family. Many lesson plans and projects can be conducted from home with modest or practically NO equipment. Learning astronomy will allow the entire family to appreciate and enjoy televised science programs much more.
Amateur astronomy clubs are a great source to get a lot of help quick and easy. The Texas Astronomical Society of Dallas (TAS) will resume monthly meetings at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) - Richardson Campus, currently they are conducting virtual meetings as are many clubs. The TAS has 600 members and UT has the McDonald Observatory.

My niece lives in south Arlington and desperately wants a tiny home. I told her about Lake Dallas, and bless her heart, she said that was too far lol. Texas does not embrace the tiny movement yet, and it’s a real shame, it could mean the difference between living in a house that looks like a shed in East Dallas, a very dangerous section of the city, to being able to home school your children in a safe environment where everyone knows each other. Texas, come on, we need to do better.

Very happy for you guys! I didn't know we had a tiny house village right here at Lake Dallas! That's exciting! We're not so backward in N TX! This is great. I love that you are neighborly and your fellow community dwellers are also neighborly in the old fashioned way. It's beautiful and your family and your home are beautiful.

This house is so great! My son and I have watched a LOT of tiny house videos, but this one really stood out! I also love how big and creative the kids' rooms are! That decoupage floor...👏🥳🤩🎉
