The worst thing about app protection is that if you have someone hired for short period and that person is also working for a company which use app protection you are not able to enroll it to that user because only one company can be setup.... :)

also, how is the defender different than the $2 or $3 addon just for defender? I think there are two levels?

I already have 365 strd and ms defender plan1 / also some ms 365 basic (users who do not need the desktop apps) / and some E3 licenses.
The licenses are not so clear - is E3 better/worse than 365 premium ? / how to upgrade ? how can you see (like in a list ) which user is using which license (also options as defender plan1)
Upgrading is not so straightforward if you have already some - i can even not find how to buy businnes premium - it is not proposed if i add a new user or so ...

With all the features that a P plan brings, it's normal to have some configuration.
And since it's our job, it doesn't bother me too much.
More annoying, personally, are the number of new features that are more and more often optional and... paid...
So it's increasingly difficult to maintain a good security score with just the Business Premium license, unfortunately.

I wanted to use Cisco Duo for some remote users and they said I can only with the E1 or E3? all I know its more expensive than standard.. sounds like we should bite the bullet and get the better version of 365

*We have 750 employees and there are thousands of things to HATE about Microsoft 365. First of all, the Office Suite costs* about 30x more than Office 2003 did back then - and if we're honest, there wasn't much great new stuff. *Second, despite the massively overpriced products, Microsoft software has always felt like early beta* software for years. *Thirdly, product support used to be included in the (much cheaper) product price* - and the worse the M$ products are, the more you have to pay for product support. *Fourthly, the standard Office / Microsoft 365 products are NO LONGER SECURE!* At the launch, M$ advertised “Security included with every click!”. Now you have to pay a lot of extra money to get state-of-the-art security.
*No, there is NO reason to love M$. M$ products are a disgrace. And in 2 years at the latest you will agree with me.* 🙂
