Uni-T sent me their UPO1204 4-channel oscilloscope to take a look at - and honestly, this thing is more than capable of hanging with all the other options in its price range. 200MHz bandwidth and 2 GSa/s and 4 channels makes this thing ideal for beginners looking for a scope that will be able to progress with them or for intermediates looking to upgrade from their starter scopes. Great scope it even works with the red banded scope hooked up to the orange port :D

LA = Logic Analyzer.

It looks like a decent scope but it's price does bring it up against Siglent's SDS804X-HD series. That's some mighty stiff competition there with 12bit sampling, touch screen UI and WEB server interface. Don't know why it has the Digital and Gen buttons. They are additional functions available on the MSO1000X series (which has not yet been released), not the UPO series.

"LA" => "Logic Analyzer". Mixed siganl processing for an upgraded model I'd say. Weird to have buttons but not connectors for both the AWG and LA?

Nice basic scope. LA would be the logic analyzer functionality (it doesn't have). Maybe to tell more about the trigger possibilities?

This is a scope with all of the specs and features that are on my wish list, but 1, price. Now I'm just waiting for one that sells for $350 US and I'll get it. I figure that will take another year or 2. Until then I'll be using my old handheld Fluke for a storage scope and my 100 MHz analog Tek on the bench, both are 2 ch, and lack serial data decode. But it's getting closer every day to the day when I can get a scope that does everything I need, and nearly everything I want.

the user manual on the official uni-t shop website can only be downloaded by logging into a microsoft account wtf?
2gs/s is nice, but we had that in 1995 allready. 12..14bit is the new big thing, i wouldnt ever buy a 8bit scope again.

Six years ago, this would have been an interesting alternative to Rigol or Siglent scopes.
Today, it seems rather outdated in the face of the competition.

A single page with no measurements...
You can't do anything with that.
To be considered a calibrated device, values must be present and, above all, from a neutral calibration laboratory, not from the manufacturer.

I think Uni T is comitment for electric measuring and every it product is cheap
