Why do people say this is dumb ? This will provide easy to fly version of the planes that new players can use without feeling overwhelmed. The aircraft choice is also very calculated imo since those 3 are regulars of enigma's cold war, the most popular server of the game. Not to mention enigma himself is a big advocate of low fid planes

I am definitely going to upgrade FC3 to FC4.

IMO introducing more low fidelity crafts will expand player base.
At the moment I am a bit afraid of full fidelity models because I have limited time to invest into the game, but I really like it.

Glad I already own FC3 plus the 3 Full Fidelity Modules of MiG15, F86 and F5. Looking forward to any graphical updates to the FC 2024 planes that will surely mean updates to the Legacy Full Fidelity modules are coming soon... and boy are they ever needed..

I think this is an exciting prospect for new players. As a FC3 owner, and owner of the F-5 and F-86, my biggest question is will there be any benefit to me upgrading?

Maybe the idea is get those earlier airframes in the mix for servers that want to play in that time period but don't have a low cost option to boost player numbers in Multi player games.

Great idea adding more aircraft to the FC Series.

You can add aircraft of the Century Series, (F-100, 101, 102, 104, 105, 106) to FC and see how well they’re received. Those aircraft would be a blast to fly, but aren’t worth the investment of being standalone / study level DCS Modules.

You could make the Flaming Cliffs S-3 Viking (with a Tanker Role) and the C-2 COD for servers where logistics are used to resupply airfields, aircraft and weapons.

If you’re on the fence about creating the next full blown DCS module, you can test it (gauge interest) by making them an FC aircraft first.

From the moment we will probalbly never see aircraft like F-16A, F-5A and mig-21pf in FF, due the fact we have already the modern variants, we need them as FC modules

I get that these are full fidelity already and this is basically a cheap nockoff as lot of us dcs pilots would agree. But then again for those of us who love creating cinematics but don’t want to spend a lot of time learning full fidelity. Fc3 is a go too. This is a great addition for us cinematic users.

So I already own all three of these new additions, BUT I would still pay an extra 10$ just to support there being more additions later down the line. maybe some other planes like SU-34, Mig25/31 Like @kupferstecher mentions. or even some NATO side A/G and A/A airplanes. I'd even pay more for more stuff in the Combined arms pack if it had some added Navy stuff and other blue, Red and whatever that we could use ^^

all positive thoughts and ideas tho. but this is def the way to go to grow DCS's playerbase larger ^^

Pointless - the community wants new low fidelity planes that are different to the existing ones because DCS takes forever to bring anything new out.

Doesnt make much sense. The original f5 still needs a lot of bug fixes… LowFi in VR just doesnt work😢
