Flaming Cliffs is The most Important Stepping stone in DCS. Neglected for years, it is now that It is back accompanied by 3 "New" Jets for 10 $ Upgrade.

Is it all Worth it though?

FC 2024 upgrade includes:

F-86 Sabre
Mig 15 bis
F-5 E Tiger II

These Jets are already in the Game as Full Fidelity Modules.
If you want a fast and Affordable DCS learning experience and be able to
quickly jump into combat the Upgrade is Worth it. However, be aware there is
not a KOREAN MAP in DCS for the Cold war Scenarios.

Always preferred the Flaming Cliffs Frogfoot to the T variant. Nice to have some more options, and buying stuff helps support the devs doing more dev stuff.

The mig 15s fast slave button doesnt work on the fc version which is kinda gamebraking, you have to wait 30mins to get your compass to allign

I honestly feel they did the F-5E kind of wrong. I understand the simplicity of the modules and thus the reduced pricing, however this aircraft is probably one of the best to introduce yourself into DCS, ironically being a great trainer both for the game as it is in real life in may air forces still. I genuinely do not see why the FC variant doesn't have access to the laser guided bombs, when the FF version cannot even guide them on their own, it needs to use a JTAC, so there really is no systems or avionics complexity in essentially just transporting the bomb to the objective and dropping it relatively close for the laser guidance to do rest of the work, there was no excuse for not carrying this bomb over. Specially with the precedent of everything that's at your disposal with the Su-25T and the upcoming free Su-25 classic already in the game anyways.

Now this may be more unrealistic, but again going on what they have already implemented in the pass, I think some sort of assistance system that replicates a type of CCIP/CCRP-ish guidance for bombing on the F-5E, despite the aircraft not actually having the avionics level to provide such information for the player would make it more enjoyable. Let's just say for example, similarly to the Su-25s, using the F-5's basic reticle the player could place it over its target while keeping pressed the release button, so that it would lock in place and they would hear a tone when the game calculates its the best position to drop the bombs to most accurately hit its target, and then it drops them automatically. Again not realistic but would be a nice assistance like unlimited fuel, unlimited weapons or immortality for new players or more lay back enjoyers of the sim.
