I bought into the BS and was a vegetarian and developed all kinds of health problems. Yet, my grandfather was a WV pork farmer that lived to 100. My Mom and her siblings were all healthy. I feel GREAT eating bacon again! And vegetables with bacon grease!
My body has leaned out and I'm not hunger all the time on healthy keto.
The heart association and medical establishment will never say they were wrong.

I'm about to have 4 pieces of BACON with my 1/2 pound of ground beef, and 4 eggs, plus 2 TBS of butter for my OMAD today. Wouldn't miss it. Thanks for everything over the last 5 years of getting me healthy and losing almost 100 pounds eating this way. You Rock!

I'm so confused! I had a "cardiac event" the end of March, and was in the hospital 4 days. I was given a mountain of pills to take, like Torsemide and such, and have a heart catheter, an echocardiogram, etc to prove that I need a quadruple bypass surgery next month. I now have 5 cardiologists, one of which I had a consult yesterday, who have deemed that I have congestive heart disease, and if I don't get this surgery, it will more than likely cut my life short.
I have followed the keto WOL for 5+ years, and don't miss all the carbs, or inflammation. I was counseled yesterday that I will have to follow an American Heart Association diet, so no more carnivore or high-fat foods any more, or else they .ca not guarantee ANYTHING!
I usually drink a bulletproof coffee every morning, which allows me to do intermittent fasting, so I only eat one or two meals per day, and I feel pretty good, except for some shortness of breath.
Now they want me to cut out ALL red meat, bacon, eat lots more fresh fruits and vegetables (which I don't eat now), and just follow AMA. I don't want to, and am pretty sure I will be miserable. Dr Berry, your book, "Lies My Doctor Told Me" I have read 3 times, and love, and my LPN daughter has also read and agrees with, is Super!
Dr Berry, sound advice, please! Thank you.

I'm ripped, and everyone notices.
I can now even fit into my old military dress uniform for the first time in 20 years. I've always wanted to get back to my old "fighting weight". 👍

Sadly, as we are learning, and I have seen over my 30 year career as a Respiratory Therapist, people would rather believe a lie than seek and accept truth when the narrative changes. Doesn't matter the level of education. The common sense, truth seeking chip is missing from their computer.

I was a Respiratory Therapist for 20 years worked in ICUs post op for open heart surgery patients ( CABG), those patients after being extubated the next day their first breakfast we’re usually bacon and eggs and some fruit.

5 Eggs and 5 strips of uncured apple wood smoked bacon (thick in bulk from Sprouts) is now a staple if my morning carnivore routine. Makes my suburban house smell like the country life I was use to.

Let's see, I eat a half a pound of bacon a day. I've lost 105 pounds and my lipid panel is so good my doctor doesn't want to know what I'm eat. In her words, it's working don't change it.

I would love to see your response to “Nutrition Made Simple” guy who seems to be really smart. He is usually on point with all of his research, and he says cholesterol and Saturated fat is absolutely a cause of arteries and heart problems. The video is called “Stan Ekberg gets fact checked by MD PHD” and he says the carnivore hypothesis is wrong because people like you and Stan don’t fully understand the types of cholesterol. That APO-B is the true culprit. I say this as someone who is a big fan and is currently on a ketovore diet. Thanks doc
