Spiders never eat dead things, they like their food fresh and wriggling, if you look closely you can see the wasp is moving. I sometimes feed blue bottles to spiders in the out house in the garden. Feeding the house spiders is so much fun. I NEVER kill spiders, yes I know their sinister but they eat what you don't really want in your house. Spider silk is fantastically strong, and it has antiseptic properties and also has a charge to it to attract flies to the web.

Spiders know when to stick together. He could have eaten the wasp and probably would have if the human didn’t show up. It’s instances like this that cause the rare cases of spider wasp friendships. Goodness they do look scary in videos like this. But I managed to hold a Giant House Spider before. They’re harmless to Humans but pack a punch for wasps and flies etc

That's why spiders so terrifying. No matter which animal do you imagine being 8 meters big, spiders would be the scariest, you don't want to be hunted by that thing and I would have no clue how to fight it physically.

I thought the plant stalk was being blown into shot by the wind at first. Congrats, you managed to fool the spider into taking dead pray. I've tried this but I've never had any success. I haven't got it in me to feed them live pray though I wish I could. I love spiders.
