Fun fact: if you have Sharpness V on a Netherite sword, it'll only take 1 critical hit to take an undead mob. So that's also a good alternative :)

If you’re wondering what you should go for I recommend putting sharpness 5 on your sword and smite on your axe.

fun fact:axes on bedrock edition have a more powerful smite.

I enchanted my diamond sword with unbreaking 3, and got smite 5 as a bonus enchant, and was disappointed because I couldn't put sharpness on it, but then I looked up what it does and I actually like it more that sharp.

for swords, sharpness 5 is still better use..

smite 5 axe tho no crit needed on any undead besides full iron armored zombies.. always 1 hit ko

I got so lucky with my enchantment table and got fortune 3 effeciency 5 for my pick and smite 5 and fire aspect 2 on my sword

one time I was playing with my cousin and I had a diamond sword with smite V, looting III, and unbreaking III and when I hit a skeleton one time thunder struck on the skeleton and it spawned the four horseskeletons. It wasn’t even thundering, is this a glitch or intended game design?

I traded a cheap smite 3 sword for 19 emeralds. I didnt know what it was and i thought it was bad because everybody calls it bad. I never really knew what it was though so i went to this video and found out what it does. And i think its not bad!
