RN here - mad, deep respect for Vanessa both professionally and personally. "When you see something, say something" always comes with consequences, especially when dealing with people in positions of power. That said, it is always the right, best action to take if we want to maintain the standard of quality, ethical care. When faced with it, it can be surreal to try to wrap your head around the reality of what's occurring vs the pressure put on us to "believe the best" and not question authority. Her courage is inspiring. Will be praying for her and others facing these situations. They can be life-changing and demoralizing but Jesus always shows up. ❤

Those meds are prescribed so easily, it's scary. The prescribers should definitely be held responsible for what they are doing to our youth. The therapists who rush to recommend transition should be held equally responsible.

I worked in a children’s hospital and the children who were going through the gender hormone therapies were often coming in for psych too. Either suicidal ideation or aggression towards others. Or both.

Anyone with common sense should realize synthetic hormones are not doing kids any favors in terms of emotions. What a disservice to these children.

More nurses need to speak out because what is happening in wrong and terrible to mess up these childrens bodies and families for money.
