More Than Medicine: How Medicaid Addresses Social Needs

Medicaid currently serves roughly 80 million low-income individuals in the United States, and many of these individuals are from marginalized communities. For this group more than any other, health outcomes are determined by the conditions in which they live, work and play. In this recent webinar, a panel of national Medicaid experts and CareFirst’s Public Policy and Government Affairs team held a discussion about Medicaid’s efforts to address these social drivers of health beyond medical care.
