This is not to sound negative BUT I had to share where I went wrong so other creators don’t make the same mistakes I did 🖤

“Don’t make something you consider a passion, a job; because then you’ll lose the passion behind it” a word! Definitely happened to me with yoga. Was so in love with it, then it became about money and now I hardly practice. Great video and love your hair ♥️.

Make more content. This is a rare chance in economic history for regular people to make lots of $

Summary:
1. Obsessing over analytics
2. Don't make it a job: changes the dynamic, adds pressure, make videos that align with your purpose, dont make what you consider a passion into a job.
3. Don't be overly consistent, it causes burnout.
4. Not having boundaries.
5. Not understanding the algorithm
(Don't trip when the video doesn't go viral). High subs does not equate to high views. Care more about engaged subscribers/views than high sibscribers.
6. Watch what you talk about and try not to trigger people. Share opinions without being offensive.
7. You will become unrelatable as you grow on the platform. Don't feel pressure to be someone that you're not inorder to relate.

Thanks for the tips!

Being a youtuber for 7 years, I perfectly agreed with you. There are these pressures… but I changed the way I do things now. I post things I l like and think will bring values. Also youtube can push you to create false info because so people are looking for it. For instance Aloe vera or rice water are hot topic in hair care. But I dont do them regularly because I know is not the most important for your hair. I know if you dont have a great routine, well all that rice water is useless. And because I dont create those miraculous ingredients or products for hair, my views are very low.
I was pissed off and discouraged because of that. Now I made peace with it. I prefer to have crapy views, than creating something not align with my vision.
By the way, youtube is not my full time job. I just like to share

Love your advice about not being overly consistent and to post what you love, not just post for money. Especially when you said don’t make your passion/Hobby a job or you’ll get burned out. This can apply to anything outside of YouTube as well. Thank you so much🙏🏾

loved this advice. I'm obsessed with my analytics. Its honestly one of the first things I check when I wake up in the morning which is sad. I need to stop pressuring myself because the burnout is real and hard to recover from. But this is something I really want so I need to create healthy boundaries. Thank you for this video 💕

I tooootaly get this video…. I’m a new content creator and I have my own business so YouTuber is literally a hobby and just fun for me because I love Vlogging and running my mouth lol! But if I never make money I’m cool with that. My videos are the real me and that’s why I like my channel, my content is for whom it’s for and that’s it. Love this video.

Your advice really helped me! I just started YouTube about a month ago after wanting to have a channel for years. I finally worked up the nerve to do it and I really enjoy making videos. I’ve been consistent with it and I’m proud of myself 🙏🏼❤️

I’m a content creator but I can’t get into doing it full time like you said. I want to do it when I feel I have something to say or do. I’m battling in-between doing content i like and what i think people may like. My goal is to find my passion and after that everything will fall into place.

So far amazing. Back to basics. You told me in one video mini retirement and living a better financial life. Always following you after you said that. So simple.

I am struggling with my youtube journey; trying to find out what videos to do that go together and not just make random videos

I totally get this. I like the advice about sticking to what you want to talk about. Its hard to get only 25 views but I really only want to enjoy what I like yo talk about.
