I was only 5, but I remember 9/11. I was in kindergarten and the teachers turned their TVs on. My teachers talked with other teachers in the hall. Shortly after the second tower was struck and it was clear it wasn’t an accident, my mom signed me out of school and brought me home. She said we needed to all be together that day.

I was still living with my parents and me and my mum were up near midnight (here in Australia) watching tv when they stopped the show for an emergency broadcast and showed the news. We were pretty shocked.

I was getting my kids ready for school. We had the Today Show on with Bryant Gumbel. We watched the first plane go into to the twin Tower, it went right behind Bryant since there was a big window behind him. He asked if maybe a plane just was lost. But when
The second plane hit everyone around him started running. It was awful

Oh dear, well I’m not in America, I’m in England and that day we were moving into a new house, no tv was rigged up but the neighbours came out to tell us, we couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw it a few hours later, we were so shocked 😢watching you eat in the different parts & you sat for fish n chips, what was funny is that you said Yorkshire & that’s where I live👍🏻🇺🇸🇬🇧

I was in college interviewing for a job at a daycare center. ALL the parents were picking their kids up and the lines at the gas stations were INSANE!

….I was ironing my uniform shirts getting ready for a 3 day trip to Amsterdam watching the morning news when the first plane hit!! Needless to say I was grounded for a week and a very different job working the ‘friendly skies’ after that day!

On that day I was working in JFK airport marking out underground utilities... I seen the second plane hit the towers... I had to practically beg to leave the airport because they shut it down... I had family in Manhattan... The streets were crazy... People in the streets cheering on what happened...it was a crazy time... It hit hard all over the country...but if you didn't live in NY it wasn't the same...some time after it was over I marked out the utilities right there...all I can say is wow it was horrible to look at ...

I’m a CPA and I was taking a continuing education course in a hotel ballroom. They had TVs playing outside the room in the corridors on the way to the bathroom.

We were in Washington dc because my husband had a conference from w 16:52 ork to attend. The housekeeping staff knocked at the hotel room door as I was reading to tell me that the US was under attack. Imagine my panic when my husband was at another conference center and I am 10 blocks from the Pentagon in a hotel alone in Washington. My daughter is at home in 5th grade and was sent home with family as no one could reach us as all phones were blocked due to the circumstances. Luckily when my husband finally got back to me two hours later we got in our car and drove home without stopping to get back to our family. We will never forget. Such a terrible tragedy.

That narrator took me back to the science and industry museum in Chicago. I didn’t realize how great the museums were in Chicago till I moved.

It was my day off from work…I dropped my kids off at school & then I decided I was going to go on a walk because it was such a gorgeous day! Got home about 9:20 am…had no idea what was going on until I turned on the tv

We were home in bed and my daughter called and told us to put on the tv. A month later and I was working in NYC doing work with the Red Cross...it was something that has has caused me alot of grief. It was so sad.

Dramamine makes me tired but Bonine does not. Works amazing for motion sickness.
