Thanks for sharing about the young patient. It's very difficult to consider long term consequences when you're a teenager suffering at that age from insecurity. Everything these days is about appearance to young people and you can understand the desperation.

I had a transplant with Dr Knudsen today. At the end I walked out knowing I would have hair for the rest of my life, way more than I’ve had for years and this hair will really change my life in so many ways but generally I feel so happy about the future.
In the future this type of surgery will be as common as dental surgery. I worked out that if I lived for 20 years the cost would be $2.74 a day, if I lived for 40 years it would be $1.37 a day. Who wouldn’t pay $1.37 to have a full head of hair ? Go for it guys, just do it and you’ll never look back.

Speaking of long term management of MPB for young males: can you please discuss the use of Topical Finasteride and how it may lessen long term effects from Fin. while still managing MPB?

Hair loss is the only thing that we say "manage" it like its only based on visual aesthetics alone. Hair loss is symbolic of an internal issue thats not only with the hair follicles but other organs. I break things like this down on my channel and help men get their high school hair line back.

I’ve always had problems with depression and cripplingly low moods, and as I understand Fin and Dut can exacerbate or even cause these issues. I deliberated long and hard and decided to take the meds, because not doing anything when there is a simple thing that I could be doing is depressing in and of itself. Watching a part of my body, and a distinctive and attractive feature of mine wither is depressing on a few different levels. I am still depressed, I can’t say if I would be more or less so if I didn’t take the meds. I’m still concerned because I’m not certain that it’s working, but at least I’m trying something and it’s giving me hope.

Which medication(s) are usually recommended for an 18 year old? Finasteride pills? Minoxidil pills? Both?

I love your show and I have watched all your videos! You stressed that Finasteride gets stored in the body over time. Hence the following question: after having taken Finasteride for a full year (3mg/week), can I reduce the dosage for maintenance (for instance, 1.5mg/week) without loosing ground? Thanks.

Is it always necessary to use medical supplementation (topical minoxidil/finasteride) after hair transplant to maintain the post transplant hair lines and graft? Because i think that some patients choose to transplant because of being sick of using medical treatment everyday. Are there cases in which further supplementation is not necessary?

Have been using finasterid for about 10 years now. Not 100% sure if I am going for a hair transplantation..

I’ve been on minoxidil since 17 and finesteride since 18 I’m turning 20 in a few days. I haven’t seen any progress, if anything my hair has gotten worse through the last few years. I want to get a transplant but idk when I should do it. I want to do it right now but would this be problematic?

I was put on 5mg Fin just before I left for university and had severe side effects. Please proceed with caution. It should be noted I had very mild male pattern baldness.

I started to take finasteride as soon as I turned 18, It slowed my hairloss. I'm 19 now and not happy with my results. I've been still losing my hair. Should I try dutasteride? I've seen three different dermotologists now and all three have been hesitate to off-label prescribe me dutasteride. Should I try to get a prescription or just throw in the towel?

I am 19 years old. Since I was 15, I’ve been thinning out little by little. The trichologist yesterday prescribed me to take dutaxeride 0.5 mg every day. I would like to know how it affects health, especially the health of a still growing organism. sometimes there were comments on a passage, which was bad, but there was no complete picture.
