Corsair just released their large and in charge Crystal 680x dual chamber case and I was lucky enough to get one for review. It's a extremely well built, large case that is made for enthusiasts but is it right for you!? #corsair #computercase #rgb

The original Corsair Obsidian 500D non RGB $150 on Amazon. Dual hinged tempered glass panels, brushed aluminum everywhere, big old heavy mid tower and a dream to build in. maybe I'm just in love.
Edit: Airflow is fine with 360 rad intake mounted up front no choke.

all cases today need to come with an extra mesh "attachment" front cover for those (which i would hope is the majority) that prefer performance over a solid front / silence (overrated term).

I hope mesh frontal panels become the standard, I hated the tempered glass trend which heavily restricts the airflow, specially when the fans are completely chocked right against the glass with nowhere to take air from.

Interesting that the aio is performing so poorly. I'm excited to see your results on testing it vs a corsair one

Case looks nice but for 250 they really should have thought more about the glass front, options to replace with a mesh panel or something. I will stay with my Meshify S2

I just bought one. I'm water cooled, but I don't use pumps. I use sealed units like Corsair and CoolerMaster sell, so I'm not concerned about pump display. I bought it to hide my PSU and the wiring so I could run some colored or RGB wires. It isn't the absolute best airflow case for AIOs, but I'm willing to trade some functionality for aesthetics after building out my Skytech Chronos case (yes, it started as a terrible prebuild 2 years ago) to its absolute max for function over form. It'll still run cooler than it ever did in the Chronos due to size differences and having the PSU away from the board and GPU. At the moment, the PSU fan blows down into the ground and can't escape, so it comes right back in the pull fans. I had to stick a small piece of aluminum under the case to act as an air channel to avoid heatsoaking my system.

Speaking of Cooler Master AIOs for anybody else that wants a cheaper AIO, don't use the RGB fans from Cooler Master. The colors (at least on my Master Liquid LC240E) are not true to hue. My alpine white comes out a different shade than everything else on my rig. In car HID headlight terms, I wanted a 5000K, and it is more like a cross between 6000K (bright white) and 8000K (ice blue). Using RGB Fusion, I found that the RGB is closer to 225/225/225 (#E1E1E1) than it is the 250/250/250 (#FAFAFA). Buyer beware. I'll probably go full Corsair after this given they sell white fans. The black fans absorb too much light.

anybody who has anything negative to say about this either doesnt have one or hasnt got a clue. Running 2080ti i9-9900k temps are fantsatic. H100i on cpu & fans for the rest. System idles at 24 degrees & maxes @ 52 degrees on modern warfare max settings in 4k. This really is an airflow beast & I assure you you will not be dissapointed. Anybody with different temps to me hasnt built it right.

It doesn't really look like it should offer high airflow, but I can confirm my temperatures are great with this case. Ryzen 3700X running at about 33-35 at idle, 50-60 under load, with occasional spikes up to 75, and my 3070 runs about 40C idle, 60C under load. Haven't tested in summer temperatures yet but I'll probably add another couple of fans in the bottom by then.

Good review about this case. I am a fan of Corsair’s dual chamber designs and thank you. (:

I already bought mine to do a top/bottom 280mm rad setup with only my primochill pump/res on the front. Gonna be sweet AND quiet

Honestly just got this case and I have all the fan spots full and my pc stays nice and cool even with the lack of a mesh front panel the air flow is still quite good!

I like Corsair stuff, I use the 460x RGB on my main PC 👍

As someone whos always gone for budget case, Im splashing out on this case and adding 3 Corsair RGB ML140 fans for top and rear which will all be set to static red.... lol, will keep the rear 120mm included fan as a spare or to the bottom for more air to my 1080ti.

Like this design. Especially since Im going fully air cooled with the be quiet dark rock pro 4 and all black case.

actually @8:40 he said you cannot control any other peripherals, that is incorrect. yes it is fairly specific but if you have a modern asus motherboard z390 or newer your good to go, you just have to install the plugin. and yes its a whole setup process but once its setup you don't have to mess with it anymore.

I have the Gigabyte Aorus 360mm AIO plugged in and it makes super minimal sound. Definitely keeps the CPU in optimal temps. Even with OC testing it was keeping it at 50c, maybe 60c.

I literally just got this case this past Saturday and I absolutely LOVE it. I have Corsair components (RGB Ram, h115i AIO). I already had 3 LL120 fans so I'm running 6 in total, and controlling it all thru the Corsair commander pro.

O11 looks a hell of a lot better imo. Plenty cheaper too, thought it does indeed have a smaller footprint.

Its a Corsair Air 740 with RGB fans and glass. I have an Air 540 and I like it more because mesh is better than glass for airflow and RGB fans, in general, are worse at moving air than their non-RGB varients.

That said, the Air 740's mesh front and top will be better for airflow than glass panels. It does give more style value than the original because of the glass and the RGB fans, which are popular trends. But like you said, its expensive. Its very nearly as expensive as the Air 740, which is just as big and can fit the same amount of stuff in it. It also looks less like a small air conditioner than the original, which I kinda liked because it was quirky.

Looks like they modified an AIR 540 case. I love my AIR 540! That case does look nice, except for no rad location on top. In my AIR 540 I had to put the pump/res in the back as well. My MB is an E-ATX as well (X79 DARK), so finding a case that works for large boards is limited in the selection. Especially with more SFF builds being popular.
Thanks for the review TimmyJoe! o7
