Crazy how he’s named after the half and half iced tea lemonade

I’ve always found it funny that looking at Arnold’s face after a swing, you’d think he shanked it into the woods. It’s the same face I make…and I regularly shank it into the woods.

He still had it in the 70's. Miss you, Arnie!!!

This is exactly why I’m a fan of the “swing your swing” mindset

A great golf icon and an even greater gentleman. Had the pleasure of meeting Arnie on the 16th Street mall in Denver around 2003 or so. He was so gentlemanly and kind to an ordinary joe like myself. It was a thrill of a lifetime!

His swing doesn't end after the follow through; it just keeps going.
Need more videos of Arnie in his prime!

A fearless smash of the ball !!! Maybe fastest clubhead speed ever !!!! If playing in 2024, at age 30, Palmer would drive it about 425 at sea level !!!! The guy was pure guts

Long time ago I saw Arnold Palmer playing in the Bob Hope tournament and those wound Titleist balls just acted differently than the balls of today. Palmer would slash at the ball with his persimmon driver and the ball took off low-to-the-ground for the first 150 yards it was ten feet off the ground and then it would start to slowly rise to reach a peak of maybe 75 feet high at about 250 yards out. from there it would descend and fly maybe another 25 yards before it would hit the ground and roll a few more yards to a stop. 280 yards was a big drive back then and it looked spectacular. Those were the good old days when Palmer and Nicklaus were playing against each other and it was fun to watch them duel it out.

The epitome of class. Gracious and full of flare amd style all at the same time. This man modernized the game of golf and made it accessible to all the tin cups of the world. A sports legend if there ever was one. R I p Mr Palmer.

I never saw Jack Nicholas or Arnold Palmer throw a club or slam it into the ground like these young guys do today

Proof golf at its core is talent. Sadly I lack that talent bit 😔

Old school shooting with old school clubs and still being a BOSS

My God he was something to behold!
The power of Popeye, the finesse of Nureyev, the charm of a movie star and the courage of a lion. Yet he had the common touch, not an ounce of arrogance about him. And the most charismatic golfer who ever teed it up, hands down.

His iconic follow through, and quarky head movement, watching the ball in flight.

Arny’s follow through, footwork and facial expressions were unique to the King but the story of the shot was universally understood to anyone watching before it ever landed.
