Also shouldn’t all the federation ships have the ablative armor generators, that voyager had in the last episodes ?

So when the show is set in the past they have tech that’s ahead of their time, and when it’s set it the future they have tech that’s behind their time.

Almost like the writers didn't know canon before writing this spin-off.

"Forget everything you know about Star Trek, because we sure as hell haven't bothered reading up on it and are making shit up as we go!!!"

Why do they have to crawl on their hands and kneed through Jeffries Tubes when the turbo lift scene revealed that most of the ship is vast empty space?

Um, the EC has the most well funded science nerds in the galaxy...yet she doesn't know how a replicator works! There is no consistency in the show, even within it's own narrative! Forget trying to compare it to past trek, it falls short on it's own merits.

They are probably in a completely separate timeline created by Burnham's actions, the burniverse timeline, her living past her original death created a universe that couldn't function properly without her to save the day.

The writers probably didn't even know any of it to be able to forget it.

Fascinating how Daniels & Archer can walk through those walls, but don’t fall through the floor when using this device. 😅

They didn't forget.
Forgetting implies that they knew it in the first place.

Star Trek Discovery also forgot how to write decent plots, so...

Its getting harder and harder to comment on this stuff anymore. The show is just dumb. They are so busy being "edgy" and "action packed" that they are forgetting about entire shows within the franchise, much less individual plot points. Its whatever that looks cool on screen.

Geordi: Inventing stuff and it works.
Burnam: not using stuff, which was invented hundreds of years ago, bc she never went to Starfleet Academy, and normally cries herself out of a

Burnham timeline doesn`t deserve this tech anyway

I was wondering why Burnham didn't use the phaser on the person grabbing her ankles. She was going to send them into space anyway and using the phaser would have been far more humane than dying by vacuum decompression.

"This show's a fucking train wreck!"
"No, dear, it's just Star Trek: Discovery."
"Well I hate it!"
"Everyone does, dear."

See how the TNG scene had a script that logically contributed to the storyline and narrative. STD just wants more lens flares, more loud music, more alarms.

Star Trek is built on it's own history... STD isn't Star Trek

Star Trek always gave me this feeling of awe and amazement for future tech, the 900-years-in-the-future time that Daniels came from was a source of wonder and inspiration. STD's even-further-in-the-future time doesn't have cool new tech, there is no amazement, no inspiration, it's somewhat... boring?

I think I'm done with Start Trek for now...

Daniels was a temporal agent and had access to tech from other time periods/cultures.
Also the temporal cold war/temporal accords etc. probably changed the timeline some.
