Chris you really did a great job listening and being respectful. She is a slow, well thought out speaker (unlike the hyperactive youth like myself) who focuses on less technical things at times and you did an amazing job allowing her to speak where she wanted to and being receptive. What she was going into about spirituality and healing is at the root of the archetype so it was essential for you to allow her a bit of free range to go into these topics. I'm grateful. She is very wise in her presence/embodiment alone.

I have Chiron conjunct my Midheaven in Taurus. I am a medical doctor and practice integrative medicine, this path has been a constant struggle as most MD/DOs around me tends to minimize this approach and are mostly pro-pharma. In my mind, we have been limited by our medical education as there is a huge gap in our skills in terms of using a non-pharmacological approach. The pharmacological approach alone is incomplete and does not produce "health". I feel Chiron has helped me reconcile with the struggles in my path.

Listening to this in 2024. I listened to the whole video without a break, completely in the moment, not even blinkning (well maby a couple of times 😉), because this was so incredibly interesting. This lady is absolutely wonderful to listen to, so much knowledge. And I love that you let here speak and having small pauses without interrupting 💚 so professional. Thank you 🧡

This is my second time listening to this amazing episode. I'd like to thank you Chris for inviting Melanie whose knowledge and wisdom are greatly appreciated. But more than that, thank you for the spaciousness of this conversation, allowing her to go deeper and us to digest what she said. This kind of true questioning and true listening is so valuable nowadays. That makes the episode even more tasteful and interesting.

As a 57 year old healer with Chiron in Pisces and the position of Chiron at it's highest point when I was born, I completely resonate with what Melanie shared. Thank you for this beautiful interview, from a fellow African

"Homeland pain" is a good description of what we in the U.S. experience today...thank you for that.

Chris, know this that you are doing a great service to the astrological community around the world. This episode gave me so much insight as all the episodes of the astrology podcast, especially as a person with Chiron conjunction North Node and Sun in the 7th Wholesign House and had the Chiron return in 2018 when I set up my own company working on astrology and family constellations. I am saving money for your Hellenistic Astrology Course, which is so exciting for me but amazingly expensive in Turkish Lira, but I will eventually. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.

So much to love about this conversation. You are such a good interviewer Chris.
Your ability to allow the guests to shine in their glory, is really great to watch.
"Homeland pain"...felt that.
"You can only work with what is burnished into your soul".
Love your channel, thank you :)

This part of the video, at the 1:58:59 minute, is so profound and well said, by Melanie Reinhart, that I've copied the transcript:
“You know, Pluto, lord of the underworld, he’s also like the king of the Kuiper belt and the centaurs are like the agents or emissaries or even the escapees from the underworld and it's like they are like our guides in very underworldly kind of experiences, where there might be immense suffering because
we're ill or bereaved, or because of painful things happening to those we're really close to, whatever it is, and so, it seems to me that the centaurs are our little guides in those underworld regions.

Because, normally you know we just think of, you know, Pluto, lord of the underworld, you know, dark, black, heavy contracted kind of stuff, but in
pretty much all cultures who've got any connection still with the energies of the earth, the underworld is thought to be under the earth and it is both the realm of the dead, but it's not like “Oh it's the realm of the dead that's it” It's full of different zones like the Greek underworld has many many different zones in it, you know, Tartarus and the Elysian Fields and the place called Aornos and all different things happen in these zones. It's not just one uniform horror, you know?

And it is also very much the realm that opens up if we, for example, go into a Jungian analysis, or work deeply with our dreams and so forth. And it's as if these little critters represent this energy of being able to handle Paradox, being able to handle dilemma in order that something deeper than the duality can come through. I think that's really what they're about”

Thank you very much for that, Melanie. In the not too far future, we'll probably be surprised by what's present in the "underworld".

This is one of the best astrology discussions I've ever listened to, thank you Chris and Melanie! So good to go deeper with understanding Chiron. From the mythology to the astrology to the symbology, it's all so fascinating and feels intensely relevant. Around 1:21:11 Melanie makes reference to the triad of victim, persecutor, rescuer/healer, which is reference to the Karpman Drama Triangle. Which is very apropos to the Chiron, wounded healer discussion

Thank you Melanie and Chris for this interesting and inspiring talk! I find Melanie's way of speaking and her very presenece so very therapeutic (no wonder she chose Chiron as the subject of her interest and research - "in astrology you can only work with things that are burnished into your soul...")

She is amazing, and kudos to you, Chris, for your willingness to embrace that which is outside of classical astrology. I appreciate that about you immensely, for it demonstrates your fascination with astrology itself, more than prejudice that is evident in some.

At 1:21:07, she's referring to Karpman's Drama Triangle - the Victim, Rescuer, Persecutor. It's used in transactional analysis and structural analysis in psychotherapy.
