How to make the BEST Slushie Daiquiri in the Ninja SLUSHi

🧊 Check out my 2nd Channel devoted to all things *SLUSHIE* @MakeAndDrinkFrozen

Today we'll make a simple Slushie Daiquiri with the new Ninja Slushi Machine. At the time of this video the machine appears to still be out of stock.

*Quick tips to get you slushing:*
*Sugar:* You need sugar for two reasons... First, sugar lowers the freezing point allowing you to make a slushy. Without it, you won't be able to get the machine to slush. Second, sugar aids in the creation of small ice crystals and the small ice crystal is what the slushie is all about. Not enough sugar and the drink is not cold enough and the texture is not pleasant.

Aim for your Brix to be 12-15. That's 12-15% sugar by weight for your total mix. To calculate the brix you can use the slushie calculator or just figure out the grams of sugar in your total mix. The grams of sugar per 100 grams of your mix will give you the Brix (10 grams of sugar in 100 grams of mix = 10 degrees brix). Refractometers do not work when alcohol is involved, so if using one you need to measure before adding alcohol and you'll need to do some extra math.

*Alcohol:* like sugar, alcohol works as an antifreeze lowering the freezing point of your mix. Too much alcohol and the machine will not be able to get the mix into a slush. The machine says it can do 16% ABV but I have difficulty doing anything more than 13%.

We just got our Slushi 3 days ago and already love it. Glad this channel showed up on my feed. If anyone wants a easy premix look into Lieutenant Blenders mixes. They are perfect for the Slushi. I've already made 3 and they come out so good. My family is addicted.

You're the man. Seriously - I purchased this machine (after several attempts on the waitlist) based on your videos and I'm super excited to use it. The spreadsheet is awesome, as well. With so few resources out there about making cocktail slushies, this is absolutely gold. Also - loved your 1% acid adjuster and have been using that for a few months now. Game changer. Keep up the amazing work!

Thank you! So glad I discovered (and subscribed!) to your channel. Love the presentation and the scientific aspect. It is excellent that you place the recipes into the description for easy reference!

I made this daiquiri recipe in my new Slushi and it is wonderful but I wish it was a bit thicker. What is the trick to tweak the recipe to achieve this? Less alcohol or less simple syrup or both? Could I add a thickening agent to accomplish this? Thanks again!

If you could work on a recipe with pre made margarita and strawberry margarita mix I would appreciate it. I use the Zing Zang pre mixes a lot now around the house

This might sound like stupid question, im setting up a home bar, and my mrs love a daqari. This looks like what im looking for..

But, she likes to changer her flavours, is it possible to add some kind of flavouring after or during the pour into glass to make either strawberry or Mango daquairi? Or wpuld you need to add the flavouring to the mix?

Thanks
