My headcanon for the Jenny Arcanine fail is that this particular Officer Jenny is a huge fan of Arcanine, but was unable to find a Fire Stone to evolve her Growlithe, so she gave it the nickname “Arcanine” at least until she gets the stone.

I'm surprised that polteaghiest can't learn scald. Its the tea pokemon, it could spray out hot tea. At first i thought that scald was removed completely in gen 8 but after talking about it with a friend, that move is still in the game.

So in HgSs, the Pokemon following you around reacts to the gym type. Like entering a water type gym with an electric type or fire type will prompt a unique response. If you bring a type that has an advantage over the gym, the Pokemon will get excited. If you bring a type that has a disadvantage, the Pokemon will get nervous.
However, apparently bringing a flying type to Erika's grass type gym, causes the nervous response.
I brought a Pidgeot to said gym and that's what happened. I haven't tried it with any other flying types, so many it's just Pidgeot, but still - odd.

OK, that last one, though. You see that Abra foot cut off in there? I remember seeing the Abra in that section, and then seeing my first wild Abra. I was all, "ooh, the instruction manual talked about this! I better weaken it before I throw a ball!" And I'm gonna let your imagination fill in the rest.

In trainer's choice it is most likely that the names were switched during answer and producers didn't notice or that effective/super effective were switched with not effective.

9:35 They had to nerf Aegislash because it was too good competitively prior to Sword and Shield. They do that to Pokémon who were competitively viable in previous gens, so viable that it was too powerful, so they have to nerf it in the new Generation of Pokémon games. Same goes for Zacian and Zamazenta, they had their abilities nerfed and also their stats nerfed. So yeah, it's not an epic fail. This is how they balance competitive play in Pokémon.

Ice does not in fact freeze water. If the environment is cold enough, water then solidifies.

Ice doesn't freeze water - it IS water.
