Bottom line is the elders know that a person is encouraged to use critical thinking at college or uni. Once that happens, individuals can begin checking out the Watchtower organisation as well. They dont want that to happen.

Ex-JW here. When I was 18, in 1995, my mother made it very clear she would kick me out if I went to college. I had nowhere else to go, so I didn’t attend. Instead, a couple of years later I left in a very different way.
Here I am, now 46, widowed, with three sons, and I’m going to be heading back to work. I wish so much I had found a way to go to college. There’s so much I wanted to be. A lot of my dreams have come true, and I’ve made a good life for myself. But man, it would be so nice if I could have a career, and make a higher salary.

I can relate to this. This happened to me. I was deleted from being an elder because of studying for a masters degree. It was harsh. This is exactly what happened. But thanks to that, I woke up and came to the reality.

This video perfectly highlights how extreme this organization goes to in order to interfere in its members’ personal lives about something as mundane as a parent having their child attend college so as to further their education in order to provide for themselves and their family. There’s just no words to describe how asinine this truly is. But hey, the WT has no problem sending their own to law school in order to defend it from CSA lawsuits.

Apostle Luke was a physician. This required higher education. Watchtower's lawyers all had higher education. With this video in mind, all Watchtower's lawyers need to be deleted as Elders. Watchtower continues to incriminate their members for weak dogmatic rules. The words, "higher education" is not found in the Bible. Watchtower is going beyond the things that are written. Rules for thee, not for me. In other words, absolute hypocrisy.

Thank you for sharing this! This is the reason I left. My father would not let me go to college. I got emancipated when I was 17 so I was able to make my own decisions. I now have a master's in school counseling. 🎉
