I actually enjoy seeing Ben worried about Callum doing actual police work. It always bothered me they didn’t make that an early fear of his due to having lost Paul. Still they were so dead set on pushing the “bad” crime Mitchell guy vs “good” cop guy they forgot about the basic concept of ben being afraid of losing yet another significant other

Callum the Hero! Everyone loves the hug and kiss, I think we'd all like more of that. But they're clearly setting it up for Ben to get stressed out over the dangers to Callum in his work as a Policeman/Detective! You'll remember a while back that Ben went through a period when he was refusing to be openly gay or loving towards Callum in public because of the dangers from gay bashers. The story-writers never really resolved that issue, so now we have several potential major issues for Ben and I reckon they've got him heading for another breakdown?! Wish they'd just leave the poor boy alone!

Maybe this will open Ben's eyes up and he'll understand he doesn't have to hide his emotions and let Callum in when it comes to what he can't change about Lola dying. Callum saves everyone he has a big heart and is caring. I just hope he can save his husband Ben before Ben does something real bad to hurt himself. Because we all know that Ben's hurting just as bad but he won't tell anyone because he has to take everyone's pain for himself.

Callum is a hero but I got to ask why haven't Ben & Callum kissed on the lips since October 2022? That's six months ago. As a gay man watching this I sense something is off. Remember Max Bowden & Tony Clay are straight male actors in real life and people need to remember this. Hollyoaks has straight male actors James Sutton is good at it. Something homophobic and off about the gay couple on EastEnders. Something is not right going on behind the scenes at BBC. I am guessing one of the actors probably Tony Clay told script writers he really is uncomfortable kissing Max Bowden on the lips. Over six months and not one peck on the lips? Since the reunion last year not one kiss on the lips. I wonder if one of the actors uncomfortable kissing another man on the lips? The question got to be asked. Kissing in lips is a sign of attraction and connection and yes it is important. They are a married couple Ben & Callum But they are gay couple. I got a hard time believing a straight couple on EastEnders wouldn't have a quick kiss on lips in six months. At first I thought the neck kisses or on cheek are cute. Yet it does seem odd they are avoiding kissing each other on lips. So one of the men is very uncomfortable kissing another man. Could it be because Max Bowden & Tony Clay are uncomfortable kissing each other on the lips? I am guessing Tony Clay has a problem kissing another man because Max has kisses several guys on the show never had a problem doing it. Last year Max Bowden character Ben has passionate kisses with Lewis & James. Just something I noticed. Tony Clay has only kissed Max Bowden he hasn't kissed another male actor in four years since taking the role. That's bizarre that the character Callum only kissed one male character on the show. It is disappointing Tony Clay so uncomfortable kissing Max Bowden on lips. It is just glaring and obvious the show giving the audience a downgrade in affection due to Tony Clay uncomfortable.
