Thanks Jake. I whole heartedly agree eliminating software encoding (OBS, vMix, Ecamm Live) is the way to go. I switched to hardware only a year ago and with ProPresenter, ATEM switcher and encoder we can to do everything needed without volunteers needing to learn additional software or dedicate a high powered computer to software encode. I am also able to capture a local recording on my AJA Helo encoder and don'e need a separate recording device. The AJA Helo encoder also has both SDI and HDMI outs so you can monitor the actual stream. I have 30MB upload speed that provides great stream so at this point going to Restream.

You probably need reference sync between your devices. I work at Fox and this is what we do for most of our video/audio equipment.

I was having weird dropout issues with a smart hub clean switch. That time we replaced it with the normal videohub and the problem was solved for good.

I have a question. you said that you are sending a propresenter source to your switcher. how do you get that propresenter source out to the congregation and what if you want to the source that Is going out to the congregation to one of the cameras? what would the routing be like for a setup like this?

Almost the exact setup we are running, except we use vmix for encoding and streaming to restream and a 20x20 video hub.

Does Resi allow you to set a custom buffer size if you do not want the full 90 seconds? I understand the bigger buffer the more security you have in a smooth stream. However, sometimes our pastor likes to interact with our online viewers, and a 90 second buffer makes that a bit prohibitive. He can "vamp" for a while, but 90 seconds would be too much of a delay for some of the interactive pieces.

Im curius on how you sending audio into your SDI that hits Resi ? you may be getting issues because your embedding audio with the switcher.
You should look into sepratly embedding your audio into SDI. BMD isn't the best embedder.
