Why It Angered Voldemort To Kill Snape

I also think Voldemort genuinely considered Snape to be the closest thing to an actual friend he’s ever had…even when Snape arrives late to the meeting, Voldemort understands and even saves him a seat. Voldemort kills Snape with Nagini in the book. He thinks it is enough to just order the death and not cast the spell himself. Navi i is for plot so Harry gets the memories.

All in all a great video! I had been asking myself over and over again WHY Voldemort had to kill his most (?) loyal follower. Your video opened my eyes to the matter of the Elder Wand possession. If I have it correct the possession of the wand happened like so: Dumbledore won the wand from Grindelwalt, Snape had agreed to murder Dumbledore by the latter's instructions so Snape won the wand from Dumbledore. It would remain useless to Voldemort (having coveted the wand so desparately) and realised that he had to kill Snape to be the Elderwand's true master. Little did Voldemort understand what lay ahead for him. Because Harry, Hermione and Ron had killed 6 out of the 7 Horcruxes (including the part of Voldemort's soul that was attached to him since he was a baby, Neville killed Nagini with the Sword of Gryffindor and the final piece of the Dark Lord's soul was destroyed. Voldemort was now in a very weakened state even though he still possessed a physical body. When Harry killed him with the killing curse Harry became the new owner of the Elder wand. Personality traits that Harry shared with Dumbledore was that that neither were particularly vain or sought glory or immortality and certainly NOT power. Standing on the Hogwards bridge Harry snapped the Elder wand in two in front of Hermione and Ron rendering it useless should it ever fall into the hands of any other wizard.

Well he couldn't have used the killing curse because then Harry wouldn't be able to collect his tears. From a story perspective.

Honestly, although in my opinion(and I'm sure many other's), a slow and painful death is worse than quick and painless, that was rather.. 'Kind'(?) of Voldemort to attempt to give Snape a 'better' death than the killing curse

I honestly think the answer could be quite simple. Voldy didn't use the killing curse because he simply could not. He wanted not to kill his most loyal subject.

Not to advertise to other channels here, but recently I saw a theory which involved the unforgivable curses and why they actually are unforgivable. Mainly it meant that if you'd want to fully use an unforgivable curse, you'd have to truly want it. Quite possibly even desire such harm unto your target.
Bellatrix even called Harry out in the Order of the Phoenix: "you've got to mean it!"

Two reasons why the wand didn't answer to Voldemort

1. Nagini was the one who killed Snape so that makes him (the snake) the rightful owner of the elder wand

2. Snape made Dumbledore into a horcrux after killing him so Snape is not truly dead

what gets me about the death of Shape is that he was the professor of potions and claimed he could " put a stopper in death" and would've most likely had access to unicorn blood which can keep you from alive even if you're a hair's breadth from dying as well as phoenix tears that could have saved him as well but he nor potter and his friends bothered to carry such useful items.

I also have a theory. To use an unforgivable curse you have to really mean it. If Voldermort truly had a deep rooted respect for Snape then it may be possible that Avada Kadavra would not have worked if Voldermort had any doubt or hesitation when it came to killing Snape.

I feel personally that Voldemort never cared for anyone. Snape just knew he’d played his part, and I feel he just hoped Harry would survive.

I never understood why Snape simply didn’t suggest that Voldemort hand him the wand and then use Expelliarmus to claim it rather than kill his best follower.

Didnt Voldemort also offer to let lily live if she would step aside because snape asked him to spare her? I dont think Voldemort ever offered to spare anyone which shows how much he values snape

I see many of you commenting this didn’t actually read the book. In the book Voldemort just ordered Nagini to kill Snape. He didn’t do it with the wand. And I assume it was because he didn’t want the curse to rebound because he didn’t want to kill the wand owner with his own wand.

Voldemort could have just disarmed snape and took the wand but he killed him instead

Why are so many people trying to compare Voldemort and Palpatine...yeah both were assholes with Daddy issues but atleast Palpatine was able to kill kids..also Palpatine understood love that's why he used Anakin's love for Padme to turn him to the Darkside
