Thanks for this video. Having bought a MK4 ST just before Christmas, there are not many comparison videos online currently. To see it up against some real engineering in the form of the A45 and the 135i was great to watch. I know how fast the ST feels so I can only imagine what the other 2 must be like now from a standing start. Am I as I don't have £60K to spend on a car, and for what I spent I am more than happy.

I hate standing start races. If you own the car then you’re probably not gonna launch it from standstill. I feel like 30mph rolling races are more appropriate for “real world” comparison. Plus it takes 4wd/awd out of the equation!

Unfair. The new A45s is apart of a new Super hatch breed, as will be the new Golf R and RS3.
Should've been A35s and Focus RS with that M1.

Good, interesting drag races should, usually, bring uncertainty, excitement and fraction of a second difference between contestants at the finish line. But not here, not with this video. Needless to say it is like comparing apples & oranges & mango.

Sure it's no competition, but these cars kinda show the difference between the "3 hot hatch tiers" we got, Gotta say I'm surprised by how well the ST managed to keep up, considering it's the only FWD car AND low on power.
