My mom used to take me to whole foods and get good food every now and then and i asked her why we stopped going and her response was "we make too much for ebt now" and i didnt even know we had ebt.. thats one of the things that proves she was such a good mother with what little she had

I'm the oldest on both sides. They were short and I'm tall with size. Even now they couldn't fit the clothes from back then so I'd just keep them😂😂😂😂

If you're washing dishes and clothes with the same soap your poor

If all your cups at home are plastic Burger King King size cups you're poor

If napkins is what you use to for your hands and your ass your poor.

If you haven't had car insurance in 3 years on your vehicle you're poor

I can keep going but I'm getting depressed 😔

Both the water for soap “longevity” and the fkn hand me downs bring back so many memories

But I didn’t have an older brother so I got hand me downs from my dad

I wasn't poor, just grew up in a poor neighborhood in Queens, and did all of this. Even now when I moved to the suburbs I do half this stuff
