I bought fake sunscreen off of Amazon. I could tell by the white cast, consistency, chalkiness, the print quality of the packaging and the fact that it did not have a seal. Some may even have seals honestly, it’s such a shame. Less money is not worth the risk. But it’s so difficult NOT to get exploited. Horrible. This is predatory on people who want to improve or protect their skin. This is like a direct attack… putting an UNKNOWN substance on something so delicate and important as your FACE. Thank you for helping us as always!

I know Dr Eidriss knows this, but since she didn't mention it in her video: inorganic sunscreens aka mineral sunscreens may not show up as black under UV cameras. This is because they reflect more UV than organic filters, so you can't use a UV camera to test an inorganic sunscreen. Don't freak out if you bought a zinc-based sunscreen from a reputable retailer and it doesn't turn black under a UV camera! That is normal!

That’s why I just shop directly in Sephora or drug store . They have too many reseller -fake sellers these days . Some ingredients they use could be harmful - potentially damaging.

I would never buy any skin care from Amazon (especially sunscreens) unless it is from the original retailer.

When I buy my Korean sunscreens 🧴, they’re literally ONLY from the official stores that sell them on Amazon, NOT from a third party seller. 😁

I bought a fake French sunscreen from Amazon too. It smelled like detergent and when I took a closer look, the labels looked weird...and this sunscreen is famous so the one I got was clearly a fake. Amazon really needs to do a better job of approving vendors

THANK My esthetics teacher warned of this and ever since I’ve tried to tell my mom to be more cautious when purchasing skincare from Amazon but I swear the lady doesn’t believe me lol! I’m showing her this asap! Finally I have proof 😂!

Yeah it's scary to buy health products from Amazon they don't regulate it. Imo if it's not outside in the regular market then that should be a tale tell sign it's not approved for a reason

Amazon is not safe anymore. Used to be able to go to a brand’s store on there and buy stuff worry free, but now even if you select from Beauty of Jeoson’s store, you’re somehow intercepted at checkout and it switches to buying from an independent retailer. Always pay attention at checkout where it says it’s shipping from. If it’s a brand’s own store and you have prime it should say shipping from Amazon.

I genuinely think the punishment should be higher for this. You know you are going to hurt someone. If it was a moisturiser that was faking a moisturiser. . . That’s shit, But not as dangerous. To claim sunscreen and then offer no protection. . . Jail.

Hoygi is a cheap China skincare not Korean sunscreen. I used their retinol cream before it is horrible. This brand already in my boycott list 3 to 4 years ago.

Most sunscreen spf not up to listing spf50 so i am super careful with sunscreen. No China sunscreen for me.

Thats why I order off YesStyle, at least I know their Biore sunscreen is 3rd party tested ever since the whole sunscreen scandal in Korea a few years back

This is why I stopped buying any SPF on Amazon. Not worth the risk.
