These routes are called Via Farretas and they’re not dangerous if you know what you’re doing. If you’re fit and use the appropriate gear and are mentally prepared for exposure (climbing term for seeing a lot of air between you and the ground), you can do these no problem.

Each clip is supposed to be clipped to the course. Not each other. If you slip while switching your clip you will have nothing else as backup.

Via Ferrata is very safe, there are some scrambling pitches that you complete unharnessed all over the world that are much more dangerous

Damn this is dangerous because you are not using your harness properly. Via Ferrata 101 is ALWAYS have a clip on the wire. That’s why you have two : when you arrive at a connecting point, you have to clip them one after the other not on each other !
