I’ve been on the mist trail, made it about halfway before I gave up lol. The way to the summit you couldn’t even see more than 30feet in front of you, it was the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced and if I ever go back I’ll be waiting for my friends at the base. Had to crab walk on the way down because the rocks were so wet

Great video and I think #15 is terrifying. I love the great outdoors but I think I'll pass on all of these. Thanks for sharing :o)

Gotta say it’s shocking they focus on the mist trail of half dome and not the cables up top. For like 400 feet there’s a steep rock face to pull yourself up with cables. I watched someone drop a pair of sunglasses from the top and watching them tumble was even scary. If you fall off the cable you die. People harness themselves to the cable so the hold hits a post on the cable if you fall but most go up with nothing. I did and will harness up next time. Half dome cables, look it up if you aren’t familiar. Cool video though! Climb on

Woo hoo! I have done three of the 15. Mist trail leads to half dome, which has also seen its share of death.

Maroon Bells. 14:06 is not part of the Maroon Bells, but is on a neighboring peak, Capital Peak and is know as the Knife Edge.

El caminito del rey was rebuilt probably around 2015 or so. Now it's safe and anyone can cross it safely. Even 70+ year old people.

FYI The Angels Landing Hike does not travel through water. The videos shown with water is the Narrows Hike also in Zion's but not part of the Angels Landing Hike.

The worst problems with high altitude hiking and climbing on Mt Rainier are actively moving glaciers and unpredictable weather. Most ascend its summit in the wee hours of the morning in summer months because afternoon heat loosens ice and rocks that easily avalanche. Crossing its many glaciers poses risks for those without experienced guides. Snow can bridge deep crevices which breaks open once stepped on. Falling into a crevice in a moving glacier means being literally ground to death a couple hundred feet down there! In summer, even on warm and clear days, the mountain can cloud cap in a matter of a couple hours in the afternoon if moist air passes across the summit. The cooler altitude condenses the moisture into a cloud above 9000 feet where it quickly turns to winter. Once on neighboring Mt Adams my climbing partner and I got caught in a cloud cap that suddenly formed on a hot, clear August day. At 12, 000 feet snow blew 40 mph and risked us getting hypothermia. Upon descent, we got under the cloud to endure non-stop lightning strikes and torrential downpour. Back at basecamp at 6000 feet we dried off in the sun at 95 degrees watching the cloud dissipate by evening.

With the hike on that China wall. Do you come down the same way you go up? You have to pass people?

If only I could. The only hiking I've ever done is on Civil War battlefield tours.

I've never understood the idea that if somebody gets into trouble hiking in the mountains, they should be rescued by emergency services. Why should the government rescue some one who voluntarily gets themeselves in trouble? If you want to climb these dangerous trails, you should have to buy rescue insurance. Since most people don't get in trouble, the premiums would pay for those times rescue is needed. Our taxes shouldn't be used to rescue people who put themselves in danger.
