I'm predominantly a classics reader, so when I saw this video on the algorithm, I had to click it!

The way you talk about these books is very infectious. Your passion for literature truly shines through, and you have earned yourself a new subscriber. :)

Love this video. Love to see Grapes of Wrath mentioned. I loved the writing style and the alternating viewpoints, once I figured out what was going on. And that ending will live rent free in my head forever.

The funny thing is that I first read Ethan Frome at a somewhat young age and always just appreciated the atmosphere. It wasn't until I got married and my husband explained the symbolism to me that I read it again and was like, "Oh my!"😂😂

First of all, The House of the Spirits is one of my favorite books EVER. I read it with a book club and it was one of our favorites for the year.

Second, thank you for reminding me of Flowers for Algernon. I read it in school, and I remember it being so thought provoking and powerful. I now want to reread it as an adult.

I just started getting back into classics and my favorite so far is Frankenstein. So far, it’s the only classic that I have reread.

As a German I personally think that Siddhartha is more an intermediate. I don't know how it is to read in other languages but if you read it in German it's quite challenging.  :)
Lovely video nevertheless 🩷
