The Ultimate Off Grid Power Solution | Expedition Truck Build | EcoFlow Delta Pro

As the truck becomes mechanically complete, it is time to put more focus into the living quarters of the rig. I am not building this truck to go camping, I am building it to live, travel and produce this show full time. And if I can build it right, it should be very comfortable and capable for many years to come. One of the major elements to consider, is how you are going to power your rig. With the motorhome, I used golf cart batteries, an inverter and a generator. This system worked, but was not the most efficient. Getting this opportunity to build my own rig, I knew I would take the time to make this rig as efficient and economical as possible. EcoFlow makes some really impressive products, and I am happy to be partnering with them on this portion of the build. There are a couple more products coming for the truck as well, and it will be a really up town system for both power storage and power generation.

My husband and I got so excited when we saw the snow was melted and the glorious sunshine. No pressure but finish that Expedition Truck asap and get back to sharing those amazing destinations. Peace be with you.

One thing we did that vastly improved our dry camping experience was to have our tow vehicle alternator tuned up. We no longer have any need for generators, solar or otherwise. If our house battery drops just a 1/2 hour at idle and the alternator now gives us a couple more days. Now we also do not have the demands of constant battery charging, lap top editing times, etc but from our old alternator we doubled output for a couple hundred bucks and we are constantly full for both house and engine battery with little to no thought. We do pump the alternator output through a dc/dc charge controller so it controls how much, how fast the batteries get charged to avoid issues.

Thats a nice set up Dustin. Everything you need with a bit in reserve. Those metal cabinets are really working out well for storage and tucking away all the essentials.
Love your Grand Dad. Be great to see him again in the shows, and his love for you is so evident.... mind you, if you think back to how you started, and how far you have come, doing so much of the work your family have every right to be so so proud of you, and you and Mick should be too :-)

Nice addition. We just finished a 6-month cross-country trip in our travel trailer and it was powered by a similar solar gen. We hardly used our gas generator. I think you will find that will sustain you nicely even through a few cloudy days, especially if you can get some solar up on that roof and a few ground-based panels that you can direct toward the sun for more efficiency. It's great to see this coming together!
