In this video I show you what the problem is on your Vizio LED TV that is causing the top or bottom to be darker dimmer than the rest of the TV. Whether this has happened slowly or happened overnight, I first show you 2 possible methods that may fix your TV. If those first 2 methods do not fix your TV then you will have to replace the LED back light strips. The process takes time and space and you will need some suction cups to remove the display carefully. Watch my TCL 55in TV fix video and that will show you the steps you will need to take. My new led strips are on order and I will make this fix video very soon so stay tuned. Thank you for your time.

This actually worked! It seems like the EASY fixes never work for me, but the second option on this video actually worked perfectly. The right half of my 65 inch Vizio was darker. I figured a 30 second fix is at least worth a try. Still can't believe it worked! Thank you!!!!

Anyone with this issue, as I had, I found a fix that he vaguely covered I believe. So I had the top half super dim and figured it was time to chunk it and spend another $500 on a new one but wait, I fixed it!! I tried the unplugging, pressing the power button for 30 seconds, etc but that didn’t work. So I thought I would try this: menu, Reset & Admin, Reboot TV. Bam. Works like a charm now. Would’ve never thought that it would be such an easy fix. Thank you!

Thanks for this because this very thing happened to me earlier today for the very first time as I was watching tv. I tried the soft recycle three times to no avail and since my tv is only 15 months old and I LUCKILY bought the extra 3 year warranty, I filed a claim with Allstate. But then I came back and re-watched your video because I had passed over the part about unplugging, depressing the power button and repluging in and I did that and the darkness was all gone! Just as clear and bright as it was before! So thanks a lot!! I wonder what it is about that process that made it straighten up.

Remember. Once you unplug the Vizio. Make sure u have enough room in the GARBAGE to toss it. My 75" / 1399$ TV is only 2yrs old. DON'T BUY VIZIO TVs

Good video thanks for the info, I've got the same problem so now it's time to start stripping down the tv to find the faulty LED/LEDS .

Thank you very much. Tried the unplug and power button method. This worked with my locally made TV, saved me money and a trip to a technician. God bless from the Philippines.

Firstly, thanks for the video ( soft reset fixed my issue. ) Second, if soft resetting fixed the issue, does that mean there is still something to worry about? Like what would be the underlying issue that caused the problem in the first place?

Did the LED backlight strip replacement actually fix this television, or was it something else, like the power supply board? I looked for the follow up video that was mentioned and could not find it.
