I definitely don’t know how to lower my larynx while singing high from watching this

A sensitive point in me, my larynx rises even when I talk in a comfortable pitch.

So she said the word incorrectly. What's the big deal? Stop being so damn negative and just appreciate the video!!

Like most of these kinds of videos, you don't get told how to actually sing. You just get given some exercises which are completely meaningless, and can't be translated when actually singing.

Without all due respect, you’re incorrectly pronouncing larynx. Secondly, I didn’t leave this video with any knowledge of what you claimed you’d talk about — i.e. singing higher with a lower larynx. This is what is wrong with self proclaimed teachers who actually never address and specify their self serving data.

Thank you so much. This video helped me with my larynx position but it also helped with my tight jaw!

What negative Comments! All I wanted from this video was how to RELAX my JAW AND FACE AND LARYNX AREA WHILE PRACTICING THE LOWERING OF THE LARYNX EXERCISES of other professionals. All professionals say that 1) you must lower the larynx and 2) you must do this in a relaxed way. This is all she is teaching. If you didn't get that, YOU are the loser. Almost no one teaches this, and if you ever have a sore larynx or can't hit your notes, you might practice relaxation before you move on to the actual larynx exercises.

I think this notion is related to the "sing as you speak" notion, which is incorrect, IMO. Today it's known which muscles you need to coordinate to sing optimally (the C-Ts, T-As/vocalis, and the AES), so why focus on the larynx, as it's an effect, not a cause? If you want to read more about this, my blog is at learningtosing.wordpress.com. I learned of this over at a tenor's blog, Kashu-Do, for those interested in opera singing (I specialize in pop genres, singing with a microphone).

Oh, my. You need to look up the correct way to pronounce larynx.

If you can't say larynx, you should not talk about it.

Oh look... it's Judith from Two And A Half Men!

How can you say "larynx" correctly once and then wrong a couple of times... and I mean _really_ wrong, not just like a slip. Answer: If you don't know what you're talking about and just read out someone else's script.
