"Everyday BBQ Hot Honey Jalapeno Smoked Ribs"
*INGREDIENTS NEEDED*
- Baby Back Ribs (I used one slab around 3 pounds)
- Your favorite Rib Rub (I used PS Seasonings "El Jefe Adobe Honey BBQ Rub")
- 9 OZ of Honey (use local if possible)
- 1 Tablespoon Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
- A few drops of your favorite Hot Sauce (I used El Yucateco Red)
- Jalapeno slices
*Directions:* ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE PREPARING ANY FOOD RECIPES. USE FOOD GRADE GLOVED WHEN NEEDED TO PREVENT CONTAMINATION OR SICKNESS.
1) Remove Membrane from Ribs
2) Season generously with Rub on all sides and edges
3) Pre-heat grill to run 275 degrees Fahrenheit
4) Once grill pre-heated and producing clean smoke, put ribs on indirect side
5) Make Hot Honey (see video for complete instructions)
6) Around 3-4 hours into cook, once rib bark is set well, wrap in foil with hot honey and jalapeno slices, place back on grill for 1 hour.
7) Unwrap ribs 1 hour later and use boat method (see video) to allow bark to stiffen up for about 1 hour on grill.
8) Once ribs are tender and bark is solid, remove ribs from grill, rest for 30 minutes.
9) ENJOY!
