When content on The Hive Minecraft Bedrock server is stale, update take a while to release, and the YouTube algorithm for short videos is absolutely broken, content like this is what results. Yes, this is a meme video. Look at the pinned comment for more of an explanation as to why I made this.

*This is a joke video that I made in about an hour. It was not meant to be directed at any one person, but more at the state of Hive content as a whole at the moment.*

Hive content is broken at the moment. Everything's centered around updates (as it has been in the past), except there are no updates at this current time. This leads people into speculating about what FUTURE updates could be. I see no issue with this.

However, the way that the YouTube algorithm works at the moment, shorter videos are pushed way more than their longer counterparts. Okay, cool, whatever, people have shorter attention spans now, understandable. Not really something I can change - that's up to YouTube and how they make their algorithm.

I don't really have a problem with videos being short. Usually people watch a higher percentage of the video if it *IS* short. The problem I have with it is the complete lack of effort I see in most people's content surrounding The Hive, and more specifically, about updates.

That's why I made this video - as a joke, to poke fun at the low-effort content I see everywhere, in the style of that type of content. I just thought it could be funny to be extremely sarcastic about all of it.

I don't hate the people that are doing this content, and I understand that you gotta do what you gotta do to get your name and brand out there on YouTube. I more just dislike the content that's being put out, because it adds absolutely nothing to the discussion surrounding the topic 90% of the time. Again, I wasn't trying to call anyone out specifically - if you think I'm talking about you, I guarantee there's 2 other people doing the exact same thing as you.

This is great.

Hive content has been going down in quality by a noticeable amount. This style of content has existed for a while and while it wasn’t exactly great, it had at least some merit to it as there was at least SOMETHING to talk about. But now that hive updates have become less frequent as of late, these creators have been starved for update speculation material, while the average hive player has been starved for updates. This has created a perfect storm for low effort clickbait content to get dumb amounts of views. As these creators get more and more views, it incentivizes the creation of even more low effort content which makes the problem even worse.
