It's been 4 months since the iPad Pro 2020 released, and since then its become a staple in my work. I use this device for 90% of everything I do from running my personal calendar, to managing my business socials, collaborating with others. It almost does everything.

I’m a student with a Spectre laptop (3 years old), 11” 2020 iPad Pro, and a limited budget. You’ve really got me considering buying a magic keyboard in an effort to leave my 8 pound laptop in the dorms.

I do agree that the iPad is a great productivity tool, and for a while I was able to use it as my only daily tool to complete my workflows. However, over time I was finding more things that the iPad couldn’t do without work arounds. 1. Was creating PDF files from normal files or even JPEGS. 2. Would be being able to resize picture sizes in PowerPoint. And 3. The file system. When using the iPad, I was using an external SSD as my file system for the iPad just because I don’t feel the file system is there yet.

So, when I purchased my MBP 2020 1799, I was able to figure out how to use it like an iPad. Apps, I have been able to create web apps. MacOS is a full blown operating system. The iPad Pro is easy to use, but so is the MBP.

I never wanted to even spend $100 on a keyboard. But after watching a few of your videos...I took the plunge on the magic keyboard and i have no regrets after a month. The iPad Pro was meant for the magic keyboard. It changes the entire experience.

Love it Gary! I literally leave my Mac in the office now on evenings and weekends as the iPad Pro is so capable now... and like you say, it’s super fast. It’s got me excited for the Apple silicone, however I think the iPad is just simply fun to use.

Just graduated and just got one. It’s now my primary device and my MacBook Pro is just used for learning coding and games. Don’t know how a student would be able to use only the iPad Pro just because online exam proctoring services are designed for macOS and windows and specifically states they do not support iPads.

I am a university student and got my 12.9’ in April and it has changed the game for me. Joint together with the MacBook they have so much potential for productivity and creativity but I can definitely say I use the iPad more - it is amazing for doing readings and annotating them while simultaneously keeping notes on the MacBook, without the hassle of split screen and having everything all over the place. I also LOVE the option of integrating handwritten notes into my types notes. I have no regrets for getting the 12.9, it is beautiful and complements my study perfectly!

I love my Macbook Pro and my iMac, but as you say, 90% of the time I reach for my iPad Pro be it for work or entertainment. Mainly because of its simplicity and how satisfying it is.

I have a 16 inch MacBook Pro core i9. Rarely use it. I use my iPad Pro 12.9 generation 3 for almost everything. I love it. Amazing how much I can do. There’s an app for everything. Only complaint is I wish the file management system was a bit more powerful.
