Before you baptize that baby, WATCH THIS!

Perhaps you're a new parent, and someone has suggested that your baby should be baptized. Of course, you want the best for your little one, and that begins with their relationship with God. Should your infant be baptized? We can conclusively answer this question by exploring four other questions. And once we finish with the fourth, we will explore some further implications on whether or not infants should be baptized.

Infant circumcision was the sign of Old Covenant.

Baptism is the sign of the New Covenant.
It makes sense that Baptism includes infants.


Acts 2:38-39; Acts 16:15, 16:33, 18:8;

1 Cor 1:16 … suggests baptism of all, incl. children.

Jn 3:5; Rom 6:4 … necessity of baptism.

Col 2:11-12 … circumcision (normally performed on infants c.f. Gen 17:12) replaced by baptism.

These are the problems you come up with when you are Sola Scriptura and do not believe the Bible, which clearly states that the Church is the Pillar and foundation of truth (1 Tim 3:15). This would have to be the Church Jesus founded, and said the gates of hell would not prevail against (Matt 16:18), so it is still here and is traceable for the past 2000 years. Paul places as much importance on oral tradition as he does on Scripture (2 Thess 2:15). Tradition helps to clarify things in the Bible that people can take out of context. St. Irenaeus, who was a student under Polycarp who was a student under the Apostle John, said; “In the person of the first Adam we offend God, disobeying His precept” (Haeres., V, xvi, 3 written around 180AD). The early Church (the Catholic Church) has not changed its teaching that humanity is born with original sin because of Adam's sin. The Catholic Church also teaches that Baptism initiates us into the family of God.

Act 8:35  Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. 
Act 8:36  And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 
Act 8:37  And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

It is quite simple to follow the scriptural example, the condition for baptism is answered plainly here,

Act 8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

The hindrance was what did the Eunuch believe? belief That Jesus is the Son of God, was the necessary requirement to be baptized, it is just that simple, babies are not old enough to believe that Jesus is the Son of God and do not qualify to be baptized, while they might be baptised by their parents direction, it does nothing for the baby, and some grow up trusting in this baptism they had as a baby thinking that is all they need and they have Heaven in the bag.

Infant baptism is a false doctrine, and cannot do or confer anything to the baby that is not old enough to believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

Rom 5:20  Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
Rom 5:21  That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

If I was born without sin then why am I under a death sentence? before i became old enough to know right from wrong, the age of accountability, before that I was already under a death sentence why? the similitude of Adam's transgression is bad because it made all of us that sprang from him sinners.

Rom 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; before I was born while I was yet in my mothers womb, I was already condemned. how could I be condemned if I had not even sinned yet?

1Jn 1:7  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1Jn 1:8  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jn 1:9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

When Adam sinned that sin was passed down to all of his future offspring. that is one of the reasons for the virgin birth, the male passes down the sin nature, and in so doing both men and women are born with the sin nature, but since only the male passes down the sin nature Mary could give birth to the only sinless God/Man Jesus without that stain passing on to him, why do you suppose Joseph knew her not until she had brought forth her first born son?

Luk 1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
Luk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Mat 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

Are we born holy? or was only Jesus born HOLY?

Psa 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

By the way this as all other scripture, was spoken of David by the Holy Ghost, it is included by God, it is scripture to be taken as written.

David confesses that his mother conceived him, and we know that his real father is Jesse, surely Jesse and David's mother were properly married, so where is the sin of his conception? unless it is the passed down sin from Adam.

All of God's gifts to mankind are/were perfect and holy? God gave reproductive pleasure as a gift so that properly married men and women would have a quiver full of children,

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Psa 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Psa 127:4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
Psa 127:5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

Jesus was the only one born HOLY without the sin nature, can we lay claim to being born HOLY like Jesus, you might go there but I won't.

One question were you born HOLY like Jesus? nowhere else in scripture does it say or allude to that we are born HOLY.

Lev_20:7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.
1Pe_1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
1Pe_1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

We can strive to be holy, but only Jesus lived a perfect sinless life that He could be the perfect sinless lamb of God, that God the Father would accept His death burial and Resurrection to pay our sin debit, I owed a debit I could not pay, He paid my debit that He did not owe.
