Truly Charles is one of the most skilled bassists of all time - and that's kind of hard to believe when in the company of such unbelievable talents like Vic Wooten, Jaco, and Steve Bailey out there to name a few. Really so grateful that Davie504 put a spotlight on Charles as we might not have known about his insane talent otherwise. And he has gotten so much better since that original video...just a level I haven't heard before other than from the 3 mentioned above. Crazy. Now excuse me while I go burn my bass collection.

This cat is the love child of natural artistic talent and an unparalleled work ethic. While we marvel at his amazing ability on the bass guitar, how many consider the tens of thousands of hours spent refining skills and the countless hours producing these amazing performances. Just amazing. I'd like to hang with this dude for about a week of private study - say 8 hours a day. I've been playing bass for 40 years at a fairly high level and have never seen anything like this. Uncanny.
