These maps, especially the subdivisions look quite distant from anything what is known. F.e. most of Finland was inhabited by the Saami peoples, and in Central and Northern Finland, they were replaced or assimilated by Proto-Finns (consisting several Finnic tribes, merging together much later) only after 500 (and it took several centuries). In the following centuries, nothing shows that the Veps ever lived in what is today Central Russia, while Meryans and other extinct Finno-Ugric peoples who lived there are not even listed. Too little is known, if they were close to the Mordvinic peoples or formed a separate language branch, but for sure they were not Veps, and unlikely other Baltic-Finnic. The Selkups used to live only in the Southern part of the area, and part of them migrated Northward only in the 1600's, when their lands faced Russian colonization. Etc.

South Estonian is missing, it was the first to diverge from the Finnic language unity, .
