I know there has been many comments about this new feature and where it is located in Teams, and since recording this video a couple of months ago, the options to turn this on, have changed. You will find this capability now under the new Facilitator Agent, which you can add into your Teams Meeting.

Here's a Microsoft Article to outline where the options are and what licenses you need and I'll cover this in a future tutorial too:


Please note that the Facilitator Agent is not available to everyone, its rolling out in July 2025 according to the Microsoft Roadmap in General Availability.

Very happy to see this feature finally roll out. Just tried to replicate the steps in this video and it seems I don't have those icons in my Notes pane, so I don't have the option to turn on "AI generated notes." @Scott - any thoughts on which Teams version/license(s) need to be in place to bring this capability to life?

This is so cool! I’m a PA and this will save me tonnes of time. I wish there was a way for you to direct the “AI” ie “[Copilot], add an action to set up a meeting with X and Y”

I have a question. I did not set up the meeting however I am the one who takes actions, decisions and notes from the meeting. I realised that I can't send the updated agenda meeting because I did not create it. is there any other way I can add the agenda on the meeting invite?

Hi Scott, we have the copilot licence and professional teams - tried this and AI notes does not appear as an option when the meeting is initiated. I have transcription and copilot enabled in admin. Any ideas or links for me to try to solve this?

Great introduction to this functionality, Scott! I have tried it but I can only get the notes section when opening the meeting in the Teams Calendar even though I am running the New Outlook. When we tried it out, switching on the AI notes didn't work with or without transcript enabled. Any settings we need to consider?

That's really nice! Somebody knows how to link the tasks with an already existent Planner? I made a test and the tasks are allocated in a "meeting minutes" new Planner that I believe was created automatically. Thanks in advance.
