I'm a Mexican citizen in Mexico City. I want to go to the USA to work as a guest worker. I go to the American Embassy.

Me: Hola, I'd like to apply for a guest worker visa.
Worker: Ok, let me see your ID so I can scan it through the you don't have any crimes aside from two traffic violations last year, you're married with two children. Ok, you should have your visa in a week or so.

A week later, I'm on the first bus to Laredo, TX. I go to apply for a job.

Employer: You want to work as a construction worker? Ok. I'll pay you 9.00/hr
Me: But the job advertises 21.00/hr
Employer: Yes, that's the citizen rate. You're not a citizen, so you get 9.00/hr. Take it or I'll report you to ICE.
Me: You can take your job and your racist attitude and shove it. I'm legal.

It should be that easy. Btw, I'm caucasian, I live in the midwest, and I was born in the USA. If we can click a mouse 3 times and buy something from China on Amazon, surely we can have meaningful immigration reform that would make people self-deport, knowing they could come back legal in less than a month.

Did you know your homeowner's insurance CAN drop you if your roof is 10 years old (regardless of material and condition), and it is mandatory to have a roof under 10 years old to even be considered for coverage. When I had my roof changed, all of the employees were immigrants. Roofing is very backbreaking, low paying, and probably the most dangerous job in America because one slip you can die or end up permanently disabled. Good lucking finding replacements because immigrants do the jobs nobody else wants. So when you have to replace your roof, you will be paying probably twice the amount. Roofing companies will have to pay substantially more to get anybody to work for them.

Miami by far had a massive Latin population, but, the violence back between '06-'13, was extreme from Opa Locka to Florida City, while I lived there. I havent been back, I RAN AWAY, LOL
