I grew up with extreme respect for the FBI. Then I worked with them when I was in law enforcement, and I have seen what has been done since Trump was elected, and I have lost it all. If they came to my house, I would close the door in their face.

This might seem overly simplistic, but the FBI complaining about the "threat level" after doing something VERY drastic and aggressive is pretty much the equivalent of a kid putting his hand on the stove and complaining about the fire... except they're grown ups with actual political power.

Under this Administration my life is more threatened everyday than it ever has been. I have to worry about criminals walking the streets that should be behind bars and I have to worry about illegal immigrants coming across our borders and randomly killing people. I don't care one little bit if the FBI feels threatened. It makes me sleep better at night knowing they feel the same way I do with this Administration. I don't believe we've ever heard the FBI talk about being scared of the threats they get until this Administration. So if as an American citizen I walk around more threatened so shall they!
Poor FBI agents with guns have to worry about death threats but it's okay for all our Supreme Court Justices to have to worry about it??

I quit trusting the fbi over 10 years ago when being interviewed relative an investigation of a fellow employee who had worked for me years before. He asked about some incident that I had heard about but had no way of knowing if what I had heard was true. He pounded his fist on the table saying, "you've got to say you know it's true to help us out". I looked at him and said "I will not swear something is true when I have no way of knowing whether it is or not. Further you know better than asking me to do that and I know better because she can sue me (and justly so) for lying, He was very angry, but I wouldn't budge (it pays to be older, ready to retire with nothing to lose). Pure hearted "rank and file"? Well not all! Poor babies! All those heavily armed and armored men and women sobbing in fear? LOL!

As a college student back in the late 80s I aspired to be a FBI Special Agent. Apparently I failed the psychological test. Always bothered me. I’m good now.

I blame the FBI agents as well. I'm tired of people leaving their personal integrity at the door when they report for work.

No, Ben, it IS The Agent's fault. They all know the law, they knew this was a sham, yet they still went through it. They could have said no, that is unlawful, but they went along with it.
