10 Lb Pup Shockingly Survives Brutal Accident, Only To Suffer For Days Without Help

We were horrified to learn that this sweet, 10 lb pup had been laying in pain on the shelter floor for days before we got to her. Lady came into the local shelter after being run over by a vehicle. The pug she was with sadly did not make it. Desperate to help her, the shelter reached out to us and asked for help.

Upon meeting Lady, we rushed her to the vet, where we didn't know what we would be met with. We learned that thankfully, this baby didn't need to have her broken leg amputated, and it just needed to be set. Her pelvis will heal in about 2-3 months, she was given fluids for the pain and shock, and at this point, we think she escaped the trauma without developing any internal injuries.

We are thankful we could help this sweet girl, but her journey is far from over.
